This is a great place to take the family to. We went last night for an early Mother’s Day dinner. There were six of us. The host seated us right away. The waitress was friendly and checked on us often.
We ordered their cheese fries as an appetizer. Everyone enjoyed them. There was a little too much pepper for my little one though. My husband had an 11 oz. sirloin, fully loaded baked potato, and macaroni and cheese. He eats his steak medium, it was cooked more medium-rare, but he still liked it. He also really liked the bread.
My mom had an 8 oz. sirloin and coconut shrimp combo, French onion soup, and a baked potato with sour cream. Her French onion soup came out first. She said the soup would have been better with more bread and onions. She said her medium-rare steak was cooked to perfection! She also said her steak was very juicy and tender.
My niece had adult size plate of chicken tenders and a double order of fries. My son had the kids chicken fingers and fruit. My niece didn’t leave many fries on her plate and said her chicken tenders were good. My son ate his fruit first and two of the chicken fingers.
I had the lobster tails which were two 4 oz. tails. I also had French onion soup and a baked potato with bacon and cheese. The French onion soup was good, but needed more bread and onions. The baked potato was perfect and had a generous amount of bacon bits and cheese. The only complaint I have is the lobster tails were a little overcooked. They were a little chewy and tough.
I really commend the staff for being so by kind to my nephew. My nephew is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair. He grabs at people sometimes. He turned his chair just enough and he grabbed at one of the male waiters as he was walking past. He grabbed a female waitress’s hand while she was walking by. She smiled and said, “he wants to hold my hand.” We turned him around so he couldn’t grab anyone else. Some people wouldn’t have been as...
Read moreThis review is a long time coming. So many things have happened over the years that we finally decided to never go back.
Years ago, there was a piece of lettuce in my dessert, the waiter picked it out with his bare hand and said it was all fixed. I was in shock and did not eat it.
Then they had new management and things were great for a while.
Then more than once, the blooming onion would be burnt and inedible.
A visit sometime after that, my salad was frozen. The manager made such a big deal out of it, such as, 'we threw away all of our salads. We take pride in our salads. We checked the temperature of the fridge...' All I wanted as a correction was to pick out a soup and move on.
Last night, was the last straw. Our waitress was very attentive at the beginning. But strange things kept happening. While giving our order, she stops us, she runs to the kitchen to put in our appetizer order. I thought that was kind of nice but I had more to order.
Then, we didn't have silverware. It happens. My husband was looking for a station with silverware because no one was walking by our table. I was laughing at his jokes. Then we were able to ask for silverware.
I received a refill of my soda, my husband was never asked if he wanted a second specialty drink. Shortly after, we received our check! We were no where ready to leave. My husband wanted a drink and I wanted to order dessert. After requesting silverware, our waitress stopped checking on us.
Then I realized, she just wanted to rush us out the whole time.
The funny part at the end was the table kiddy corner from us said 'hey, can we have...
Read moreMy server was nice yet not very attentive to me. I always eat alone, and I swear I get brushed aside every time. At every different restaurant. No server ever takes their time with me. Like usual, I didn't get asked if I wanted a refill with a drink half or more down. I, as usual, didn't get asked how everything tasted. I mainly came in for a blooming onion, but I thought about eating more. I didn't realize warm bread was served because it had been so long since I had been to outback. By the time I ate the bread and some onion, I was full. But she didn't even ask me about anything till I stopped eating. I will say kudos for her bringing out the food I was looking for while I just sat down in my car.
I got sick later that night. Puked everything up. I ate 2 donuts before 9 am. Left work for my Dr's appt at 130. I was seen around 230. So I ate between 3-3:30. I didn't eat anything else after outback. Puked up everything at 9:30. So I have no clue what it was. All I had was the onion. So, unfortunately, to not get sick again, I threw my leftovers out. I don't know if it was the grease the onion was cooked in? Old grease if they didn't change the fryers for a while. Idk if it was the sauce? Might have just been a weird fluke. The smell of my leftovers made my stomach turn, or i might have tried it with no sauce. I wasn't taking the chance to puke it up again. Unless it was my bread and butter? Maybe my butter was contaminated? Idk, but my first time in years...
