We were really looking forward to trying out flatbed after hearing nothing but great things, but our experience was absolutely awful. From the minute we were seated, we had terrible service. Simply put, our server was not only unprofessional, but flat out rude. She took our orders, and then returned to the table three separate times to ask us again what we had ordered. I’d like to emphasize that she didn’t come over to confirm, she came over to ask for our complete order THREE SEPARATE TIMES. One of our party is gluten free and vegetarian and had ordered a salad (one of 3 on the menu) and we were told verbatim “absolutely not, we have absolutely no salads, like none”. Our party member accepted, and while being disappointed we did not think anything of it. Sure enough, the table across from us (who was seated after us) was then served a salad. When we confronted the server about this, the server remarked that the person at that table was gluten free and the manager personally made the salad for them. As mentioned, the member of our party was also gluten free but we were never asked and we did not receive this treatment. It was as if during their busy time maybe they did not want to make a salad for us? The table seated behind us arrived at the same time as us and was served in a timely manner, but not only did our food take upwards of 45 minutes- it was also not brought out at the same time - as in each member of our party was served with a 10-15 minute delay. The server did not remember to bring napkins after we asked twice, and we then resorted to taking napkins from the empty table adjacent to us. When the waitress finally returned with napkins, we told her that we had taken some from the empty table and she sighed, and immediately took napkins back from the ones she had brought us to return them to the empty table. When asked for to go boxes the server immediately got them (first time we were served promptly, and without having to request something more than once) which to us just indicated we were not wanted at this restaurant. The restaurant stops seating at 8, and they seated us at 7:30. We were NOT the last ones seated, and if they were not willing or able to accommodate guests then they should not have seated us. Overall an awful experience based solely on the service received and we would not...
Read moreIt was a very disappointing experience. There was such an obvious display of carelessness and lack of attention in the food preparation and presentation, extending to every single thing we ordered. Now that's probably acceptable if it's a fast food chain or hole in the wall place but this restaurant is not cheap by any means so it absolutely wasn't worth the money. The flatbread was burnt, toppings were sparse, the sauce had no flavor. This was nothing compared to the calamity that was the 'evolution salad'. It was all salad leaves with possibly a drop of dressing. The selling point of the salad, the Maine sea kelp, was missing and nobody bothered to tell us that and they just served it up anyway. I had to ask the server why there was no kelp and she said they ran out. Not only did they not bother informing me that they don't have a major ingredient for the salad but then also just shrugged it off when I asked about it? Quite ridiculous. Although she did get me a microscopic amount later so I guess I should have counted my blessings for that. I've been to the Burlington location of American Flatbread and it's far superior, which is why I even opted to go here in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you do go, I'd suggest that you stop at a grocery store first and bring your own toppings. While you're at it, maybe stop at the beach and get yourself some...
Read moreI stopped by this place, because it was recommended by "Bring Fido." The staff was great! Welcomed 1 x Biped and 1 x Quadruped with great aplomb. I had the veggie pizza and my sidekick had the cold shredded chicken. I cannot applaud the staff enough. It was a wonderful experience...HOWEVER... I was scheduled to over-night at "Fresh from the Farm" in my Airstream, but their lot limitations kept me to a NET 1815 arrival. It was 1400. I asked the staff, if I could park in the empty back lot until then. They said it should be ok. I decided to use my generator to charge the batteries along with the sunlight. At 1430 a car pulled up next to me. Apparently, it was the owner. He asked "What the heck are you doing?" and threatened to call the cops. I explained what happened, and he said the staff did not have the authority to give me permission. He relented and said it was ok to stay until 1800, but that I will leave by 1800 or he will again call the police. After 15 mins, I decided not to be a hassle to anyone and departed. I think it would benefit the business to join "Harvest Hosts." It allows you to approve and control overnight stays, as well as increase foot traffic, especially during slow business periods. Except for events, there is obviously a lot of unused parking space. FWIW. ...
