Love this place as it always has wonderful food and people are very helpful. Today was not so good, meaning I always get the GF scones and when they’re out displayed I buy ahead but never take them all! I believe in sharing but coming from a distance and sometimes finding them gone, it’s just convenient to buy right there when they’re out! Ordering ahead isn’t always a privilege for me living so far away! I was told today I could only buy 1 of each because I had to share and other people might need them as well? Meaning someone special? Someone who might tip better? Someone important? My husband needs GF always and I left feeling like this rule is truly childish, unprofessional and not necessary in high quality...

On my first visit, I politely inquired about them possibly having one of my favorite cheeses, Redhawk, by Cowgirl Creamery and the woman (who seemed position-wise to be managerial/owner) dismissively stated ‘Oh no, we only carry FINE cheeses’… this was not only unnecessarily rude BUT also revealed her ignorance as to one of the most acclaimed cheese makers out of California. My mom heard her response to my question and laughed outside later. Even if I’d asked for Velveeta (which of course I also happen to love lol) a normal human would have nicely answered ‘Oh I’m sorry- we don’t have that here.’ Simply obnoxious! A beautiful presentation!!! Really!!! However, I ordered the daily special that was supposed to be a kale ceasar salad- it was all romaine lettuce. Sad bc it's mid-june and Kale is popping off rn.... but it was also mostly the fried chicken, which was great! Really great fried chicken nonetheless!! But the ratio of chicken to salad was way too high. Literally, everything else about it was great! The croutons, dressing, parm, and the quality of the chicken were amazing, but it would've been more worth the $$ if it had actually been kale and if there was more than 1c worth of greens there!
