The service is always very prompt here but recently employees have changed and the woman at the drive-thru this morning could not understand what I was asking her. She responded to the few words that she did know with the little English that she did have. Then I went to the next window to get my stuff. I asked the lady there. She called the manager. I asked him point-blank how do I let the app know that I have purchased a McCafe? He could not answer my question either because he did not understand English enough. It is very frustrating to me to have to speak two languages to order a damn coffee at McDonalds. I speak Spanish but most people don't. I even went ahead and asked him in Spanish. He did not understand the question. He could not tell me how to start the process. I had to go through the app myself later to find out. It is very frustrating to me that these people do not know how to use the app in either language. But this is a country whose predominant language is English. It started out that way. It would be nice if in public servant public service area people spoke the main language. I'm not talking just about sheer numbers. This country's founding language was freaking English it would be nice if people understood English at the damn fast food chain. This is ridiculous. What happened to the people who were there before who spoke English and we're super polite and well turned out there was nothing wrong with them. The entire staff is now Hispanic and there is no crossover between the ethnic groups like there was before. So now there isn't even a possible fall back person. What happened? did the manager of this place decide that he couldn't hire all races of people anymore? At least there was a mix before and that's fair. now there isn't. And they were younger people too, so they knew how to use the technology and could have just answered my question quickly. No one that I talked to this morning out of three people knew how to use the technology. That is very frustrating also. Affirmative action applies to all races...
Read moreI’ve gone to this location for 14 years and like half the time everything goes fine, specifically in the drive thru; dine in is a whole different story. I work in fast food and I understand prioritizing drive thru, but not to THIS extent. You can order the same thing at the same time in drive and get it in 2 minutes, while inside you sit there for 10-15 minutes wondering if they lost your order.
And if you have to go up to the counter for any reason, the customer service training here is so bad that multiple employees will make eye contact with you or blatantly ignore you and then go back to, you guessed it, making drive thru orders.
Additionally, like a lot of McDonald’s and Taco Bells now for some reason, they expect you to order only via kiosk and if you go up to the register someone MIGHT eventually come and begrudgingly take your order. If you’re not gonna use the registers, get rid of them. They also have the same problem as Taco Bell that in the past like 5 years that they’ve been using kiosks they still haven’t figured out a system for giving you your cups. 50/50 chance they bring them with your food, and if you have to ask for them they need you to list the sizes like they don’t have a way to just see what you need on a ticket.
I understand I shouldn’t have high expectations for McDonald’s of all places, and the employees probably get paid very badly so they shouldn’t be ecstatic to be serving me, but I feel like they do below the bare minimum is some of these ways. I really wish they’d have at least a couple employees paying attention to dine-in customers so we don’t feel like the least-favorite child on...
Read moreIf I could give this location a zero rating I would. When I arrived to this location, I was going to go through the drive thru. Thank God I did not and walked inside. NAs my order was being made I was watching the employees in the kitchen. I really wasn’t trying to pay attention but the kitchen is open you can’t but help to look. I watched one of the employees making drinks for the drive thru customers and what I saw was unbecoming for any person who handles food in the service industry. This employee takes ice with his hands and puts it in a customer’s drink. I was extremely disappointed and I wanted to complain but I was that upset that I took my food and left. Customers trust the hands of those who serve them food with handle and care. What this McDonald’s demonstrated was a lack of care. Seeing this actually made me change my perception and how we have careless people handling food for customers. People get sick when there is a lack of care when it comes to handling food. I won’t be going to this location ever and might ever order from the drive thur. Would anyone working at this McDonalds want someone to grab ice with their hands and put it in their drink. Would any customer want anyone employee at this location to grab ice with their hands and put it in their drink. The employees at this location should handle food how they would want someone to handle their food. It’s sad that what I saw from one individual puts a referendum at this location as a whole but who’s to say other employees are not doing...
