I was so excited to try this bakery. It came recommended by a co-worker who got her wedding cake here. The fact that they offered dessert trays was an added bonus for me so I could do both my dessert table and cake at one stop - exactly what I wanted. I scheduled my appointment online for the first appointment day they had available eager to discuss my wedding. Soon after I got a cancellation notice so I called the bakery. I was told my venue was out of their delivery area. Not a big deal to me because my wedding coordinator already had planned to get my cake from where ever I ordered. I was told that they do not do appointments for cakes that aren't delivered, that everything would be done online via email. Now, I know I am kind of old fashioned but I am a person who likes to talk the main details out before going to electronic communications. I had questions that could and should be answered in spoken word with back & forth live questions and answers - not just online communications. As an older bride - I still prefer in person service. I would have like to discussed what the bakery suggested for my 125+ people wedding reception since I did not necessarily want only a big cake. I wanted a tiered cake and possibly cupcakes or a cake table with various smaller cakes and various desserts. BUT because I wasn't getting a cake delivered I can't book an appointment to discuss my wedding with them. Oh well, there are plenty of bakeries out there. Sue and the rest of the gang at Wild Flour Bakery are the absolute best. We would recommend them to anyone looking for cakes or pastries for parties of any size! We were looking for a bakery who would do French pastries for our wedding and the first time we walked in the door of Wild Flour we were sold. The cakes were decorated beautifully, and the pastry case was filled with all our favorites! Sue hit it off with my husband Jeff and they bonded over baking, Paris, French cooking, etc. It was so much fun to plan our desserts! The tasting was more than we could have hoped for and the display at our wedding was stunning! At least until our guests tore into it, hahaha! The cakes we ordered were beautiful and delicious! And I can't forget to mention the service. Wild Flour worked with our venue coordinator and our caterer to determine timing and display space and everything was done without a hitch. We've had so many compliments on our desserts and we are so lucky to be able to visit Wild Flour any time we get a craving!...
