After being seated and placing our drink order we waited for server to return with them and take our order. 3 times she came to the table and we said we were ready to order and she walked off saying she'd be right back. Finally 20mins after the first request to order they took our order. 1 salad, 1 burger, 1 pizza and 1 sandwich. Half hr after ordering they came out amd said there was no avocado for the sandwich so I switched to a pizza. 10 min later a salad came out. 5 min later a burger. 5 more min later a pizza with the statement that the 2nd pizza was 5 min from done. 10 min later and after 2 more servers told me 5 min my pizza was still not out. I asked for pizza to be delivered in a to go box as the rest of our party had now already been served and finished their food. The server then dropped off the check and now refused to make eye contact with anyone at the table. Keep in mind I still have not gotten any food. I made a joke about the check arriving before the food and she walked off with no response or explanation. Finally an hr and half after initially sitting down a "pizza" was delivered. They did not offer to take anything off the bill for all of their blunders. They did not apologize, in fact what they did was make excuses about being short staffed and said what do u want us to do? 3 servers were helping our table. There were 4 staff members at the front counter. There were a minimum of 4 ppl making pizzas. The restaurant was not crowded and only about half the tables were occupied. There was no excuse except poor management, inexperienced staff and lack of concern for your paying customers. Yes we paid. In full. $63 for a meal I didn't even eat in the restaurant. Needless to say there was no tip given except for them to get new jobs as they were not good at the ones they are doing. I will not recommend this place to anyone. 100% never returning. It's not like we didn't give ample time and opportunity to explain amd rectify the situation. Covid is not to blame for this, your lack of concern for your business is to blame. Get your staff straight. Maybe some training would help. The 2 fools we had clearly had no idea what it means to be a server. Oh and your pizza was gross in the end. BBQ pizza is not...

I last ate at a Mellow Mushroom in South Carolina a handful of years ago, and once before in North Carolina about 8 years ago. It's a unique chain, with a very laid back atmosphere. My friend wanted to give them a try, and I was curious how it would taste years later.

The interior is very clean and spacious. If my memory serves me right, the ones I went to in Carolina were smaller, a little more "cluttered" so to speak. I think it also depends on what neighborhood the restaurant is in. Being in Rocky River, I would understand if they would keep it a little neater than it's southern partners.

We sat at the bar, which has a really nice selection of draft beers and craft brews. In the menu you will find a lot of Pizza Restaurant staples, as well as a number of Vegan/Vegetarian friendly options. They even have a Gluten Free pizza option if you so choose. I ordered myself a small (10") Sausage & Mushroom Pizza.

I really liked the cook on the crust. It wasn't underdone, and held up really well. The Parmesan Cheese and Oil/Butter gave it a good chewy crunch, and it had a nice buttery flavor. The Sausage and Mushrooms were good, and the ratio of toppings to sauce were really nice. I thought it was a tad overpriced for what it was, but it's not outlandish. It was also quite filling, so you should easily leave satisfied.
