Went to The Wine Bar last night for an end of the night glass of wine but it was not an enjoyable experience. The first 10-15 minutes of the night were good, then three employees got off and sat at the end of the bar. This is usually not an issue except when the employees who just got off turn into the loudest, rudest, most obnoxious table in the entire restaurant. They were shouting, screaming complaints/stories about customers that day, complaining about schedules, and complainig just about everything as loud as they could. This is incredibly rude especially considering they were shouting obscenities and I'm fairly convinced one individual of the group didn't know any other word than the F--- word; every other word out of their mouth was F this F that. This is so unprofessional - it's fine if employees sit down for a drink but not when they are out of control. A manager, or someone that looked like one, stopped but for a few minutes and was equally as loud, snorting while laughing, waving a bottle around, and talking about drinking with them. Your employees should not be this obnoxious because it is incredibly unprofessinal and kills the entire atmosphere. We were so disgusted that we finished our drinks and left without eating an app or getting a second round like we intended.
If you want a nice night out - skip this place and go to Market unless you want screaming, swearing employees after their shift to ruin a nice night out.
8/15/18 Update: Emailed Hannah (the GM) and got a quick response. She is kind enough to send me a gift card to try The Wine Bar again. Hopefully I'll head back in the next few months and give...
Read moreHad a private party here. Fairly disappointed in service. Room was to small for our group, with inadequate seating and we requested more but they said they didn’t have any. Food was not out timely, Paid for passed appetizers which were just thrown on table and difficult to get To because of space. Ordeeed skewers meatballs they came out sloppy on a plate not skewered. Potato skins were the size Of a hand asked for them to be cut I. Threes (they were cut in half) still to big we had to request silverware to even eat them (tasty though not enough to everyone even though I ordered enough) Tuna Poke was not good tuna. Wings have no sauce which would have been nice had we known. Charcuterie Board cheese was not cut again nothing to cut it with so it was difficult to eat. The one waitress for our group was hit and miss and not very friendly or timely I had to chase her down over and over again. I requested to know when my bill his a certain number and she said she would…never did so it was an additional $800. For my first time here an epic failure. Pretty atmosphere but this room is for no more then 20 MAX amd that’s pushing it and...
Read moreMy husband and I just walked out of this place to find somewhere that would appreciate our business. The woman who seated us could not have been more unfriendly. Despite her unpleasantness, we stayed. It took 10 minutes for the waitress who didn't even bother to introduce herself to come over to take our drink order. We thought that was ridiculous seeing as how the place was nearly empty. She walked over and dryly asked if we'd made up our minds. My husband asked if they made cocktails and the woman snarkily replied, "No this is the Wine Bar" and pointed to the sign. That was the last straw for us. We won't spend money anywhere that makes us feel unwelcome. We set out with the intention to support a local business we'd never tried and this was how we were treated. The website and menu basically state pay in cash or we charge you more so that should have been a hint for us that they might not be the friendliest. And after reading other reviews we are left wondering if us being an interracial couple had anything to do with how we were treated. I wouldn't recommend Wine...
