Tonight (Sunday, July 18th) we ordered a large pepperoni/bacon and a large pepperoni/green olive pizza online. When it was delivered they were both only cheese. I called the store and spoke with a male. I understand mistakes happen, not a huge deal. However, this employee told me, "That was an online order, we will not do anything about it." I was shocked, I simply wanted our correct ordered and he again told me that they wouldn't do ANYTHING. We have ordered many, many times from them, but this was the absolute LAST time I will ever give them any business. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. And yes to the owner the online order was correct when I submitted it. Something went wrong on your end, plus a confirmation email was never sent. I called to request a refund, but the person I spoke with explained that their veggie pizzas tend to be that way due to the amount of vegetables used. I should have recommended that the veggies are drained before applying to a pizza.
He offered me a credit for a future order, but since I don’t plan to return, that wasn’t helpful. I asked again for a refund, but he said that as much as he’d love to give me a “free” pizza, he couldn’t. But it’s not about getting something for free—it’s about receiving a quality product when I’ve paid for it. I ended up just accepting the loss, but I won’t be ordering again. If they would be a little more liberal with the sauce and toppings, back off on the cheese a bit (and maybe upgrade to a slightly better quality cheese), and cook the pizza either longer or hotter, it would be an amazing pie. The crust and toppings both have really good flavors, and the red sauce is a bit sweet which pairs nicely with the rich crust. The interior of the shop has a nice rustic charm to it, and the people were able to process my takeout order without a problem. I'm intrigued by the case of frozen take-n-bake pizzas. This seems like a very obvious thing that more pizzerias ought to do and it might be worth coming back just...
