Really big place, and it's organized nicely. We were given a bowl of salsa and a basket of hot tortilla chips and it was super good. It was a little watery (not a problem taste-wise) which made it hard to eat because there were no appetizer plates. I would recommend giving small plates with the salsa. The main food was delicious though. I loved my seafood burrito and it was super flavorful and the texture was wonderful throughout. The shrimp was sooooo good, and the cheese sauce really tied everything together. Also, the portion was huge! For dessert, we got the fried ice cream. It was good, I would have liked more of the outside coating, but the "bowl" it came in was super yummy and cinnamon-y. Overall, I liked eating here. I think the main highlight of this place was the seafood burrito which was perfect in every way. Service was fast and very kind, as well as attentive. 10/10 for service Some things that would have made the experience better: - appetizer plates to go with salsa to avoid a mess - have paper napkins readily available/accessible. It was a little inconvenient to have only the one napkin that was wrapped around the cutlery - double check to see if the cutlery/dishes are clean. Both my fork and cup had hardened food on it, but it was whatever.

I used to eat at Guadalajara frequently in the early 2010’s, and let me say: it’s MUCH better now than it was then! Let me start off by mentioning that I dined in on Saturday, showing up around 7p. Was promptly seated outside, which was pretty empty, but inside, the place was probably at 70% capacity. Despite being fairly busy, service was quick, and the staff seems to handle a busy night with ease. When it comes to food, I’ll say: we LOVE a basket of complimentary chips! And these chips were *quite* good! And the salsa… yummy! Flavorful, good texture, but also not spicy to the point of being unenjoyable. The Paloma I ordered was absolutely delightful! For $9~, it far exceeded my expectations, and is truly a good value. I’ve spent 12-14 on lesser Paloma’s in Northeast Minneapolis. I’m going to go back for another Paloma alone! My burrito, the ultimate fajita burrito… again, exceeded expectations. Flavorful with well prepared ingredients, it showed up hot and presented with all the fixings, I couldn’t have asked for a better meal!!! I’d absolutely suggest this spot, and hope this experience isn’t a fluke!

We selected Guadalajara Rogers Mexican Restaurant purely by chance, seeking a good half-wayish point between us and Zimmerman. The fates smiled upon us this it seems. The restaurant is unassuming but dignified. I would say welcoming, but several of our party members had a difficult time finding the entrance at first, as there is a large fence around the entrance, accessible by the sides 🙂. The interior is clean and neat. We were seated almost instantly, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. I orders the shrimp and scallops from a frankly impressive and almost daunting menu, my mind filled with other dishes I would love to try should I return. The food came quickly, and we passed the time snacking on the obligatory chips and salsa, with a side of queso. The dishes were hot and fresh. The food was well prepared, flavorful and of the right consistency throughout. I enjoyed my meal and ended up taking half home I would highly recommend this place for a visit and return visits if possible. The menu is extensive, affordable, and backed by a quality kitchen. Great experience all around!

I 've been to this place 3 times and will never go back after today. The first time I went, there was a guy greeting everyone but never greeted me. The food was good so I decided to go back a second time with my son. Everything was fine at that time. However, the 3rd time, which was today "Cinco De Mayo" did not go well. They were very crowded, so we waited about 20 mins for a seat, which is understandable. Interesting enough, they sat us, the only African Americans in the place, in a secluded area behind the main seating area so no one could see us and we can only see the kitchen staff running in and out the kitchen. It was literally the only table in the area, but we walked pass other open tables in the main area. After we sat down at 7:44 pm, we received our drinks and chips and salsa and ordered our food with and appetizer. About 40 mins into our wait, a waitress came by and said our food will be out shortly, but it never came. After being seated another 20-25 minutes we still had not received our food, not even the appetizer we ordered. I finally decided to tell the waiter we were ready to leave at 8:52 pm (they supposedly "close" at 9pm). As the waiter brought my check (for the drinks) she mentioned we've been here an hour but would need to wait an additional 30 mins to get our food. However, after paying the bill and leaving I could not help but notice all the empty tables in the restaurant so there were plenty of people that came after us but served before us. After leaving there so late, I only had time to grab my son a burger for dinner and both me and my husband had to come home to warm up leftovers. Although this place is around the corner from my home, I will never go back. BTW I always leave a tip but purposely did not leave one this time because the service was absolutely...
