I'm so disappointed this experience wasn't better as I was excited to have a new trendy place to go in Rogers. Let's start with the good: atmosphere is great. Inside is trendy, clean and bright. Lots of TV's everywhere, nice bar area. Patio is amazing - shade or not - really and inviting atmosphere. The menu is extensive, something for everyone.
The food: the food was mediocre - not bad, but def not memorable. We had the French dip and the Asian steak bowl. I would skip both if asked again. The curds were good, I really liked the pepper dipping sauce. Nice twist on a sauce for curds! The lavender mule was great.
The bad: The service started out weird from the get. An older blonde woman working lunch on 6/20 greeted us... if you can call it that. Zero eye contact, staring at her hand held, abrupt, didn't engage in convo, cut us off when asked questions - just really weird first interaction. We thought it would get better but ever interaction from then on was the same. My kid has allergies and the burger came out wrong twice. We were gracious, I get how this happens, and the manager? came over to assist. She was AMAZING. Helpful. Friendly. Engaging. Understanding. Hands down she was the best part of the visit. After that, the server was apologetic, but still not attentive. Never asked us if we wanted drink refills - but food delivery and the manager did. Idk if she hates her job or just hated a 4 top with 2 kids - either way, I don't ever need to pay someone for that experience again.
All in all, I'd prob skip this place again. Maybe it was a bad day but I'm sad to say that even on our first visit, it soured...
Read moreHere is my experience based on my 2nd visit. Auto gratuity is the worse part mentioned at the end. The Watermelon Herb salad is not what it’s sounds or how it’s been presented or featured on the menu. The dish came full of green leafy vegetables with only few watermelon cubes. I was expecting a bit more watermelon to add and highlight the flavor of the given salad. The burger I had during my first visit was good but no better than any other restaurants. The service varies based on the server you get. Today we had a young lady that was taking orders from distance away making every one speak loudly so she can hear, in my opinion is not ethical in restaurant establishment to make guests speak with loud voices. Overall my experience and expectations were slightly below that what I was hoping for as many items are very similar to many other similar restaurants you go to. Restaurant is a tough industry and I sincerely wish them a great success. One more important factor is: Don’t worry about tipping, they will choose 20% to tip them selves despite your opinion on the quality or level of service. Because of this last topic I won’t be coming back. I believe the TIPPING should be left up to consumers as a way to show appreciation for service guests received instead of establishing making that decision on guests behalf. Very...
Read moreBeautiful updates to the building. Consider making updates to crabby staff who act like customers are there to wait for them to decide it’s ok to do a little work. After waiting 15 minutes to place our drink order, and finally receiving them, our server (who did not take our drink order) finally came to take our food order. We took the first sip of our drinks after placing our food order. The drinks were so weak we tried to get our servers attention to request something different. She didn’t even glance our way so we had to go ask for her assistance. Yes, by this point we were less than impressed and slightly annoyed. The server, instead of trying to make the experience better, told us that she is not responsible for our drinks and that the 7 minutes since we ordered our food was an acceptable time to not pay any attention to us trying to get her attention. It’s not busy. One person at our 6 person table was ‘rude’ to her so she decided nobody at the table was to be served. After another 10 minutes of her not looking our way, we decided to leave. Asked her for our bill and she told us not to worry about it. Thanks for trying to make our bad first impression even worse. Clive’s next door was fantastic and we had a great birthday celebration...
