Secret Fav alert! I wanted to start with Hole In The Wall alert but this place is too cute. Very small space with stylish wood paneled walls, creates a cozy Japanese back street vibe in a very inconspicuous old strip mall on Hudson. I ordered the Miso Ramen spicy version. Wow, it was delicious!! The spicy was enough to make your nose run a little but not overpowering or mouth burning at all. There were a number of different flavors to experience depending on which ingredient you were sampling yet they blended together so appropriately. It came with a couple of fried chicken dumplings to start that were perfectly light, crispy and chewy. That first bite made me sit up and think this lunch may exceed my expectations. I’ve tried Ramen and Pho throughout NWA with checkered results and never felt compelled to give a review. Sitting here the next morning wondering how awkward it would be to go back again today. Service was warm and cute as not much English expertise. In fact my waitress extended the conversation beyond my order with Google translate. Very cute gesture of...
Read moreDined in on a weekend evening and the restaurant was completely empty and no other tables were seated. The atmosphere is a little cold, but I don't typically concern myself with that. Upon being seated, we could immediately hear expletives being yelled by someone in the back.
The ramen came out fairly quickly. The Tonkotsu ramen's broth was decent - unfortunately, that's the extent of the positive notes. The pork was very thinly sliced and seemed to be reheated and old. The marinated egg was hardboiled and tasted days old. The 'fish cake' looked and tasted like pollock pressed into imitation crab meat.
The beef ramen was the worst of it, unfortunately. There were several pieces of beef in the ramen, but every piece was more than a normal mouthful and each contained a lot of cartilage and sinew, almost like discarded cuts were mistakenly thrown in. The beef itself was inedible and completely ruined the ramen itself.
Overall, it was a very lackluster experience and I...

My husband never complains and even he said we will never come back. They also never brought our spring rolls which I just realized.
My kids shared my chicken katsu ramen and a chicken hibachi. The chicken katsu was somehow completely devoid of flavor too. The chicken hibachi was by far the highlight. I gladly gave my kids the ramen in exchange for some hibachi chicken. All of us had some serious gas and some indigestion too. We don’t eat out often so this was the only place we have eaten in awhile. We love ramenara personally.
I will say the lady who served us was very...
