Bull Babies — Restaurant in Rogersville

I do NoT recommend this restaurant. I had 2 horrible experiences in 2 weeks. First bad experience I ordered grown up grilled cheese to go. The menu description was that it was multiple cheeses melted and gooey. I had one bite of the sandwich and had to throw it away. The gooey cheese was about a half inch of a very strong and not tasty herbal spread it was totally unexpected as no where in the menu did it mentioned a flavored cheese. I returned to the place today with 2 friends for lunch to give them another shot. The counter was a confused mess with no one knowing where menus were and that they had to order at counter until we all found out by word of mouth among ourselves, bad customer experience. When we got to the counter the owner was there, I asked her if she wanted some feedback regarding the menu and while she hesitantly said ok her whole demeanor said no way. I explained about the grown up grilled cheese menu description and recommended she let people ordering know it had the flavored spread. She wanted to argue with me that the menu said multiple cheeses but I reminded her that no where did the menu mention that one cheese was extremely flavored. I did not want anything other than to try and give her constructive feedback from my own experience.She really did not want to hear it and was condescendingly blasé about it. So I ordered my friends two pot pies and I opted not to eat anything and told her why and she just shrugged. Bull Babies is now one of my favorites! Being a newbie here I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere is nostalgic with a twist of modern (dare I say New York feel) hip diner. The primarily black and white decore just sets it off. Super clean and comfortably cozy dining areas. Oh the food, the food is scrumptious and in overly generous proportion. My whole family was impressed with their meals. I suspect it would not matter what you ordered from the menu it should be terrific. The deserts are plentiful and very well prepared in large enough to share proportions in many cases. The service is quite good. The wait staff seem to enjoy their jobs and are very friendly. We were checked on a couple of times during our meal. Carry out boxes are available and likely necessary. You won't leave hungry. It's not cheap. This level of dining experience couldn't be cheap. You pay up front including gratuity before dining but I think you will be pleasantly satisfied, I know I was. The one short coming, drinks are not bottomless. And with the large proportions served as well as the cost here it would be a better experience if they were. Just saying. I will be returning to try some other dishes, it was just that good. Soo I had heard about bull babies for awhile now and finally decided to give it a shot. At first glance you'd think the prices are really high, but for what you get in exchange for that price is insane. I first stopped and got a bacon cheese burger with fries and a sweet tea, the teas was very good but I was extremely impressed when they came out with a 7X10 pan with my food on it and the pan didn't have an empty square inch on it. Sooo many fries and what I'm guessing was close to a half pound burger, and a good sized pickle spear. All of it was absolutely delicious. The burger was done perfectly, not over cooked and dry, and the flavor of it, seriously one of my top 2 burgers I've ever had. After that I came back for breakfast the next day to try it out. Ordered the bull breakfast and made the mistake of getting the full instead of half. She came out with 2 7X10 trays both of which was loaded down with food, all of it delicious. I fully intend to come back more often to try other items on their menu. Be fair warned, come very hungry cause they will load you...
