Red Dog On Main Taproom & Eatery — Restaurant in Rogersville

Tonight was the first time I went here. The bartender, Josh, only took care of "the regulars". Well, someone may become a "regular" if they receive great service and good food - which neither happened tonight for my sister & I. Josh took my sister's drink order & finally came back after 10+ minutes to take mine. He never once asked how our drinks were. We decided to order food after a while & I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was 100% tasteless & I could have gotten the same tasteless grilled chicken sandwich at McDonald's for a way cheaper price! He also never once asked how our food tasted. We had to ask more than once for the check. It was an incredibly frustrating, disappointing experience for us. I would never go back. Because apparently, only "regulars" are welcome and treated well here.

**UPDATE - I felt the need to update my review after the personal attack from the Owner after their nasty reply to my honest review. They blatantly lied in their reply saying they do NOT serve a grillen chicken. Yes, they absolutely do and they call it Carolina Chicken. They obviously need to look at their own menu because that is exactly what I ordered. I can easily provide a screenshot of your own menu that lists that item if you need to see it. And as to your comment I should have complained - who was I going to complain to as Josh never once came back and asked how the food tasted because he was too busy leaning on the bar talking to the Regulars. Also, correct grammar goes a long way. You speak of reading all reviews and how you take "construction" criticism. The correct word is "constructive" and NO, you clearly cannot take that and improve your poor service and food as is evident in your nasty, rude reply to me. And thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life to read and feel the need to critique all of the reviews I've posted about various businesses. I post 100% true and legitimate reviews, each and every time, whether my experience was negative or positive. I have poster MANY 5 star reviews when I received excellent service and palatable food. We had the wings with the buffalo sauce and slaw, triple smoked burger with fries, and a bloody mary. The wings were a bit over cooked and dry, the sauce had a smokey flavor but no kick at all. It did not taste like a buffalo sauce. The slaw had no dressing, it was just chopped cabbage with no flavor, terrible. The burger was ok,the fries were ok but could have been a little crisper. The bloody mary was ok, not great. It was garnished well but was weak and their mix was not the best, it had a strange flavor that was not appealing. They were out of 3 beers we asked for also. Overall it was a big waste of money.

They state I am a google bot (apparently they have no clue what a bot really is), and that my opinion doesn't matter because I am unqualified. My opinion matters because I was a customer, period. It doesn't matter, but I am "qualified" beyond that as I have been in the restaurant business and am a pretty good chef. I am not in the business now, but have many years under my belt. They got 3 stars which was better than they deserved. We do not return food and expect it to be "corrected", if it's not right the first time, we are done. After going here quite a few times, I'll have to say it's not that great. It's nice to have something new in this town but they are trying way too much at once. The menu is way too big and filled with too much variety. They are trying to be a bar and family eatery when it is way too small in there to be family and kid friendly. Their prices are outrageous for what you get! You have to order off a set list for a mixed drink and they are $8 for a very small glass that is filled with ice. If I go to a bar, I expect you to be able to make a mixed drink and serve the customer what they want. $10 for a plate of fries I mean really. You can't even get a bottle of plain beer here just fancy beers that aren't very good. Also they are missing out on not being opened for lunch. I hope after awhile they work out the kinks because I don't find this place worth it. update Sorry to hear your displeasure with my review but I do not know the owner or am familiar with employees there.
