Kawa Sushi was a delight to eat in. Actually, my family liked it so much we went two days in a row this week, and each time we were stuffed full. The rolls are great, we got the Crunchy Tiger and the Dragon Rolls. The rice is packed really well, so you don't have to worry about the roll coming undone with soy sauce. They also don't load the rolls with wasabi, but instead have a lot on the side so you can make your spicy factor catered to your flavor palate. I would highly recommend sharing food between family and/or friends if you go. The portion sizes are more than enough, so you might find yourself even taking boxes home because you're so full. The prices are highly reasonable for the amount you get, and the fish is really tasty. I would say it's fresh, but I forgot to ask. There's not just Japanese cuisine, but also some Singapore fried noodles and Chinese food style Honey Walnut Shrimp, among other selections. So, if you've got members in your party who don't really like sushi, rest assured that you'll have other options. In terms of Japanese-Americana food, I really enjoyed this experience. Super tasty, great staff, and will definitely be eating there again soon. Only one small suggestion for the restaurant: Add photos of the food to your menu, please. The only issue we really encountered was understanding some menu items, so we had to Google a couple of things. Photos would go a long way to help make the selection process a little easier.

Service was fantastic. Friendly staff, always smiling, and making sure all of our needs/wants were met. 👏 The atmosphere was clean, relaxed, and casual, 🎶 Fun music from the 90s played. Of course, I could not help myself, so I sang along, they didn't seem to mind 😀. Hmmm, the food... well, We ordered the Teriyaki chicken and the Teriyaki beef. The sauce on both entrees was too salty for our liking, maybe if there were more vegetables and less sauce. The chicken and beef were both moist, and the side bowls of rice were spot on. We also ordered the itchiban and a salmon roll. They were both okay, nothing that wowed our taste buds. Remined me of a restaurant in GP as far as flavor. Price is the same range as other sushi 🍣 restaurants. Strawberry mochi and coconut sake were both what we expected, and they were enjoyed 😋

Amazing! This is the best sushi restaurant in the rogue valley! The service was excellent and the food was incredible. The sushi was fresh and tender, the Kama was cooked perfectly, the fried rice and noodles had great flavor, I can’t say enough good things about this place. Will definitely be going back! Give this place a try and it will quickly become a favorite.

This spot never disappoints!! So thankful to have such a great sushi spot in Rogue River of all places🙏. I’ve been to fancier sushi spots, but the food wasn’t nearly as good as Kawa. It’s definitely a hidden gem for those that know about it. They’ve been in business a few years now, but their success has not made them lazy or caused them to loose focus on quality. Takeout is always ready in under 20 min. Staff is always super nice and goes above and beyond. If they’re not slammed busy, the lady working the counter will follow me to the door and hold it open for me when I go to leave. Guys working the sushi counter always greet with a smile and ask how I’m doing. We all know great customer service does NOT make up for sub-par sushi, but luckily their sushi rolls are top notch!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Anytime I have company come visit, we always have to order food from Kawa bc they know how great the food is. Anyone on the fence about trying this place: check out Kawa’s Facebook page and try not to drool at all the pics and videos of their beautifully vibrant rolls!!

I have no affiliation to any of the Kawa staff or ownership. This review is completely candid and was not solicited by Kawa. I’ve just been a customer for years and wanted to give them credit for their awesome sushi and great...

Really bummed, date-night ruined! We wanted to try this place and made Valentine's day plans to call in our order after work for pick-up, as we live way out in the woods and there's plenty of time between work and Rogue River for them to get started on a to-go order. We called multiple times between 4:30 and 5pm and their business phone goes straight to "the caller has not set up a voicemail". We drove by on our way through town, and yes they are indeed open for business on this day. Because we live a long way out of town, there were not other sushi options to order in the Medford area that would have had our order ready to pick up before we needed to be home (called one and they said about an hour wait time even for to-go orders).

It's very disappointing not to have an option to call in an order ahead, especially when trying to call before peak dinner hours on a weekday in...
