Originally came here as an alternative to other places. Food was good (as near as authentic as you can get in Rogue River). I have ordered to go also. The time before last they messed up my order (made the food wrong). Unfortunately I didn't know this until I got home with the order. I had to "re-do" their order as I originally wanted at home (fortunately I had what I needed). This last time I called and ordered exactly the same thing, and REMINDED them of the last time. By the way, zero apologies on their part for their first screw up. Well...........guess what? They screwed this one up also! (this time they "shorted" my order). Needless to say I was a bit bothered by their lack of attention to detail (I mean, how hard is it to get it right? twice?). Again unfortunately I did not notice the error until I got home to eat.....geez, (by the way, I live a distance from their business). Once again I had what I needed at home to FIX IT! I called them and said "hey guess what?.....I just ordered and picked up" (and reminded them of their first faux pas) and proceeded to tell them how they "shorted" my order this time! 0-2 I have to say they did say sorry, BUT NEVER offered me to come back and get what was due me, nor offer any sort of compensation one way or the other for their ongoing screw ups! (like, "maybe next time you're in we can make it right or at least add what was missing!") I am not looking for free, I expect to get what I pay for as ordered and advertised. When I have to bust out food at home to make my incomplete/incorrect meal the way it should be, then it costs me twice! Sorry isn't good enough when you don't deliver the whole deal - you need to AT LEAST offer to give me what you shorted me and not act like I'm the one that shorted you! By the way, every time I've been there for pickup, I'VE ALWAYS TIPPED YOU! So a word of advice to those that order for pickup: They will have your meals tightly wrapped, packaged and ready to go (this is good) - however - insist on checking your order thoroughly from stem to stern, just to make sure you get what you pay for, otherwise, expect no sincere sympathy or follow through on their part. Read moreI used to really love this restaurant. The owner and staff are very friendly and happy to see you, 1. But... the salsa with chips has changed. It looks and tastes like tomato sauce. There are no chunks of anything (tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro, peppers etc) just tomato sauce and a little pepper seeds. I didn't think it had the flavors I used to enjoy.
The enchilada sauce was bland... again not a lot of spice or flavor. They do have a nice, help yourself salsa bar with a nice variety.
The server got my order wrong. I ordered a single ground beef taco with rice and beens. He brought me a shredded beef taco, a ground beef enchilada with rice and beans. The rice was cold. The enchilada was hiding under the lettuce from the taco 🌮. I didn't realize it until half way through the meal.
I have visited this restaurant quite a bit in the past, but moved, so not so much lately. I have always gotten excellent service and there is no doubt had I said something, they would have made it good. I was willing to suck it up though, for the prior good times.
Either my taste has changed or the recipes have. Good people though. When in the area again, I will probably give it one more chance... for...
Read moreIt takes a lot for me to do a one star review, yet here we are. Unfortunately, my husband and I came here a few mos. back in the Spring and ordered 2 tortas to go. Everything looked great at first but after about 10 min of standing by the door, we saw something run across the floor and hang out right by us...and we in fact did confirm it was a cockroach!! But even more bothersome than that, was that the owner is aware of this. When my husband canceled our order, the owner came out to ask why we canceled. My husband literally pointed DIRECTLY at the cockroach that was camping out on the rug at the door and showed him. The owners response was not one of merit. It was nonchalant and careless, to be honest. He didn't even try to get rid of it. People were eating all over in this place. He said, "Oh. Yes. The distributors are the ones bringing them in" and that was it. No apology, no explanation, no concern. I guess you're supposed to accept the conditions. Well, that's it. I hate giving reviews like this but it's not right and after careful consideration, I decided to share. It's very dark in there so maybe check the areas you're sitting in if you decide...
