River Station — Restaurant in Rogue River

My lady and I came here for our Anniversary. It was our first experience here together. We were greeted by the bartender who was very nice, and probably our favorite part of our visit. She served my lady a very nice mix drink. The food however was very disappointing. We ordered lobster cakes, which were kinda over-cooked. A Dip Trio which was fine. Filet Mignon steak ($42 alone mind you) which was ordered and I quote "As Blue as you can legally serve it" but came out more like Medium-rare, accompanied by very dry veggies that were still crunchy and not cooked all the way, as well as overly seasoned and a baked potato that was almost cooked. Lastly a Margherita Stuffed Chicken that was well cooked, but again accompanied by dry and overly seasoned undercooked veggies as well as some mashed potatoes that had lots of some kind of seasoning on it but yet we're very plain.. First the good stuff. The atmosphere is nice and the cocktails are tasty. My husband had three different beers because we were there on a Saturday and the kegs were running out. He also never got a full pint because each beer was served with an inch of foam. We both got the burgers and you can’t complain about the size of the patty. I had the pasta which was tasty and my husband got the loaded potato as sides. The meat had good flavor so was seasoned well, but it was served extra well done. We weren’t asked how we wanted the beef cooked. I ended up cutting the patty in half so it was thinner but the meat was still so brick hard I had trouble piercing it with my fork. Nothing to brag about. Came here for my husband's birthday and man, wasted about 2 1/2 hours. Should've gone somewhere else. Asparagus wasn't even fully cooked. Took an hour to get our salads. Service was just alright. These reviews made me look forward to this place and it was such a letdown. When we walked in we were told to sit where ever we wanted and than we are told we can't sit where we sat down. My grandmother has a bad back and they didn't care. One of the waitress' said that we had to move. Don't tell someone they can sit where they want to and than make is move. Rude. Will...
