I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly frustrating. I placed an order at this McDonaldâs (Order #1314) for two steak bagels with round eggs (instead of folded) and no breakfast sauce, one hash brown, and two large coffees.
I drove 8 miles one-way from Burlington, WV using a borrowed pickup truck (my semi is broken down at a nearby tow yard) just to get breakfast. I didnât check the bag because I trusted that they got the order right.
Unfortunately, both steak bagels were missing eggs entirely, which completely ruined the meal â itâs no longer breakfast without the eggs. The hash brown and coffee were fine, but the main part of my order was wrong and unusable. At nearly 20 miles round-trip, going back to fix the order wasnât an option, especially with a borrowed vehicle.
I called the store immediately, explained the situation, and politely asked for a refund, but the manager refused, saying I had to come in person. That is completely unreasonable under the circumstances, especially given that this was their mistake â not mine.
This kind of customer service is unacceptable. No accountability, no help, and no understanding. Iâm now stuck with two incomplete sandwiches and wasted money, all while dealing with a broken-down truck.

The employees are very rude and the service sucks. The only reason thereâs a one star is because thereâs no ZERO option.
This is just an example. Recently we got a sundae. Caramel and hot fudge. The woman tells us âitâs a little runnyâ okay thatâs fine. So I pull up to the window and she hands it to me. Didnât think anything of it. We got back. Mind you the house isnât even 5 minutes away. The ice cream was like soup. I didnât know McDonaldâs sold soup for ice cream. Hot fudge was runny. And they put hardly any on it.
They messed up the caramel one when we asked for more toppings. She decided to put hot fudge in the caramel for whatever reason.
They need employees who can listen and comprehend things clearly.
