My wife and I visited this place for the first time together today . There was a sign posted 50 minute wait for food , perfectly ok no problem we got chips and salsa for the time being. That was the highlight the hostess grabbed us the chips and salsa and checked if we wanted more when we finished with them . If they had her as our waitress I believe we would've been fine . Our waitress wasn't wearing a Aprin and had a messy shirt ( stains everywhere) didn't write down ours or anyone else's orders . Forgot our straws for our drinks even though she acknowledged she originally forgot them so she forgot them twice . She got my order wrong I ordered a steak and cheddar burrito ( it was a menu item ) but got a shrimp and cheddar burrito ( odd but hey whatever im not waiting another 50 minutes and I don't mind shrimp) but the thing with this very unique burrito experience it had half of a onion in it . How I know it was half an onion EVERY bite had multiple chunks of onion in it , it was all I could taste no lettuce , hardly any tomato just massive amounts of onion . I didn't get sour cream even though hey its a burrito normally I shouldn't have to specify bring sour cream but hey I guess I should've. Now to my wife's order ... tacos.... deep fried shells like super deep fried ... it made her sick she had to spit out her food at a certain point . She was supposed to recieve cilantro on the tacos however apparently they ran out of cilantro ( seriously... how ? ) I over heard the waitress come out and tell other tables that they were out of other things on the menu as well . My wife had been here before so she was fairly excited to show me this place but I don't think we will ever go back as if it was bad service ok no prob , long waits eh ok , or lack off or missing items we can deal but when you combine multiple levels of incompetence it will be a minimum of two years before we even attempt to try this...
Read moreWhile we didn’t step foot inside the restaurant, we drove past multiple times during our weekend in Muskegon and I can’t put into words how glad I am that we started the weekend off with delivery from this wonderful Sicilian pizza spot.
We had quite a few people with us so we ended up getting the following items & how they rate:
18” Pickle Pizza- Oh. My. Amazing. I was beyond excited when I saw this on the menu as something I just wanted to try for the heck of it. I’m not a pickle addict by any means, and most of the time I don’t even eat the ones given with subs. BUT THIS PIZZA - wow. I’m so glad I started with a 12” in my cart & went with the 18” because as soon as that box opened everyone had a piece devoured & started going for more. 10/10
24” Build your own - Pepperoni x2 I’m not a fan of chain pizza restaurants, especially when it comes to pepperoni pizzas- this pizza was the complete opposite of chains. First of all, 24” of pizza is HUGE. but each piece was covered in pepperoni & the crust was cooked to perfection. Sauce was the perfect amount, and cheese was perfectly melty. 10/10
18” Meat Lovers To be honest in my reviews, I did not personally have any of this pizza. To also be honest though, I was full off of the breadstick, pickle, & pepperoni slice I had already had. When I went back to try it a few hours later, it too had been devoured. 10/10 because it was gone so fast it had to have been amazing. 😂
Breadsticks x2 Even in our large group, 1 breadstick could’ve sufficed with the amount of pizzas we had. They are (i’m guessing) 10-12” round and brush with garlic & cheese. So good!! 10/10
When all of this massive amount of food arrived, it was steaming hot & as if we were being served the food inside the restaurant. Everything we got was just as delicious as left overs warmed up and didn’t get rubbery or hard when microwaved! I cannot give this place enough stars!!...
Read moreI just recently tried Lombardo's and I was pleasantly surprised by how good their pizza was. First of all, I always just find myself in their restaurant ordering a pizza and what I find is that they're so quick in making the pizza that it gives me whiplash. It takes less than 15-20 minutes on any given day, but maybe I'm coming at good times. I always get that sweet hot za so fast. And I make the mistake of trying to eat a slice in my car which gets drippy cheese ALL OVER THE PLACE. And the problem is is that I get the veggie pizza. And when I say they load up these behemoths with veggies, THEY LOAD UP THESE BEASTS WITH VEGGIES. So here I am, driving through Roosevelt Park, one hand on the wheel, one hand managing hot veggie drippy za trying not to burn myself, Friday tunes on the radio. I swear to God, that's what the good life is. The crust is pretty decent too. It's not too chewy, and there's this like pleasant grain to it because they rub down the pan with something when they cook it. It's good. I'm not describing it well, but it hits so good when you're eating it. My mom, outside of me, also discovered Lombardo's while at a bowling game for my nephew and was happy to discover their gluten free pizza tasted SO GOOD. She has gone several years not eating pizza because she said "most gluten free pizzas just taste TERRIBLE, JUST GOD AWFUL." so it has my mom's seal of approval if you are gluten free. Try it out....
