I don't know why fresh sugarcane juice is so rare. I really don't. It's incredibly tasty, refreshing, and according to the shirt hanging up in here, heals basically everything. ;)

I was their first costumer for the start of lunar new year, and I wholly expected them to be closed or at least open later. I didn't care, I was willing to drive out there and see. Lo and behold they were open! I even heard the boss thanking one of his employees for working on new year's day, which was super sweet.

I swear to you, I was just going to get a cup of sugarcane juice and go home to have new years lunch with my family. I mean, it would have been the largest cup, but still. But then I realized, THEY SELL GROWLERS of the sweet stuff. So yea, that please.

I realize...it's kind of insane to be buying that much sugar early in the morning, but I didn't care. I had been needing sugarcane juice in my life for months.

So the bummer part of Fresh Canes is that their juicer is in a room in the back, so you don't get to see them juicing. There's just something about watching the juicer in action that takes me back to being a kid, so I was sad I didn't get to see the absolute destruction going on. First of all, as a merchant doing business in a plaza that is mostly Asian, this kind of targeted and racially discriminatory brand makes people very uncomfortable, and I feel offended. I just love this place. Jason, the owner, is super friendly, very conscientious about health and quality.

I regularly buy a gallon of cane juice at a time. He grows his own sugar cane, so Fresh Canes is more than a brand name. This is the best quality cane juice I have ever had.
