We want to thank everyone at Perrytown Taphouse for making such a wonderful night for us. My husband and I were set up on a blind date at "Perrytown Tavern" 30 years ago (11-17-1994) - the rest, they say, is History! When we found out that Perrytown was open again - we knew where we had to go! The food was outstanding! We ordered The beer battered Cod sandwich and the mushroom burger. Both were hot, perfect and outstanding! The beer list was great and the service was wonderful (shout out to Jen!!)! Their menu isn't overwhelming, - which is a good sign to me that when you focus on those items, you want to make each one perfect. They nailed it! We even got to meet the manager - he was so gracious!! We also spent our time trying to figure out how things had changed (my 24-year old, 90's brain was blown up!! So fun!). They did such a fantastic job remodeling. We definitely won't wait 30 years to come back!!! You guys have got to check this place out. And thank you so much for a memorable night!!!

I am new to Pittsburgh and the food scene. I’m trying everything with high ratings first. I was excited to try this place that has a 4.7 rating. Unfortunately I wasn’t too blown away by the food and scene. The inside has a nice flow and look to it but at 5pm on a Sunday, it was just filled with loud, presumably drunk men. Which I wouldn’t really care about if the food was stellar. The food looked well presented and from the descriptions on the menu, it sounded like something I would love but it ultimately the taste and execution fell short. My roast park sandwich wasn’t flavorful and the bacon cheese fries were barely covered in cheese or bacon. I hope I’m not sounding like a pompous a$$, but to me and the people I brought with me, we were very underwhelmed by our experience. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing? Not sure. But as of now, I don’t understand how this has a 4.7

I was so glad that this historic staple of the West View community was remodeled and open again under new management. The new layout with the bar is just awesome. I also appreciate that they kept a lot of the place unchanged such as the ceiling and some of the floors still giving it that old Perrytown feel. As for the food, I think this has definitely been improved above the original. I had a really good Reuben Sandwich with a ton of tots that were excellent. Also Everytime someone else's plate passed me, it looked incredible. I was also glad to see that they have nightly specials on drinks and a good happy hour. All in all, I'm so glad this place is back and still has the same cozy tavern feel.

Great experience here and it was only their third day open (9.24.24). We sat at the bar and it was both bartenders' first day but they were super kind and fast! Good selection of draft beers, including seasonals. Fantastic burgers...both were done to perfection (one medium, one medium rare), hot, and juicy. The ghost pepper cheese was PERFECT. One burger was ordered with tots, and the other with fries and both came out fresh and hot...they weren't sitting around in a pan waiting to be plated. We got some Carolina Reaper wing sauce on the side for dipping, and it was hot, but the ghost pepper cheese stole the show with it's amazing heat + flavor. I'm not typically a restaurant reviewer, but when the manager (owner?) asked how everything was and mentioned doing a Google review, I said I'd be happy to so as to help spread the word about this new adventure in a familiar location. We can't wait to go back and try...

My better half ordered from Perrytown around mid week as a takeout and we were blown away by the quality and deliciousness of the food. We seriously want to try everything on the menu. This evening she ordered some wings for her to eat on a break at work. Perrytowns wings are surely the best wings either one of us have tasted. Alas when she opened them at work they were not the flavor she ordered. My Gal called and talked to the manager Steve. He assured her he would make it right and could she stop and pick them up. Being at work she could not. Steve brought the order to her work which wasn’t that far but still !!!! He doubled the order and would not even take a tip. Unbelievable huh? Apparently it’s to be believed from the Perrytown Tap House. An old school customer is always right kind of place and a business attitude that you see very little of these days. We take our hats off to the...
