I went to OPI to watch an Orioles game and have some food. The food was average. The wings were solid but nothing special, at $16 for 10 split wings they should be much better. Mozzarella sticks were below average, I buy better ones from Costco, the potato skins were mediocre as well. I had the seafood club which I’ve had before, sucked, little to no flavor and too heavy on mayo. The burger my mother had was very good.
The service was super slow which was not the servers fault, the kitchen is poorly managed, the server is the only reason they got a 3 star for service, otherwise it would be 1. We ordered our appetizers during the first inning and didn’t receive them until the bottom of the 4th inning. The server knew it was taking a while and told us “your food is being plated now”. 5-10 minutes passes and she came back and said the exact same thing. I said “ that’s the longest playing of 4 dishes I’ve ever heard of” (the 4th plate was just penne pasta with marinara for my son).
The atmosphere aesthetically was fine but they had a band which I didn’t know about before going. Upon arrival I thought “cool, Os and live music, love it”. Well they were sooooo loud we couldn’t even talk to each other. As we were finishing our appetizers I went to the bathroom and scoped out the noise level in other areas of the restaurant. The 2 tables in the back corner were much better so we switched to one of those tables before ordering anymore food. While we were finishing our meals and watching the game a manager(possibly the owner, not sure) exited the kitchen and saw us. He asked if we thought it was too cold. My mother said “no but the band is honestly too loud”. His response “if you think that’s loud you should have been here last time. I had people wearing earplugs all the way back here (the area where we moved). I had to get on them about that.” I took that response as a complete dismissal of our feedback. I don’t think we were the only people who felt this way because the restaurant cleared out rather quickly while the band was playing and people finished their food. By the time we left around 9:30/10:00 the place was practically empty on a Friday night.

Read moreThe drink was awesome, my company was even more awesome, service wasn't close to awesome. I was highly disappointed. I went with 2 coworkers, and we were treated as if we were bothering the waitress and the hostess. One of my coworkers asked the waitress how is the chicken fajita pockets and she responded with a grimace,"I don't eat that!" My coworker didn't know what to say. I looked at the waitress and she said," I don't eat onions and peppers"! When it was time to pay our bill, the waitress came back with a discrepancy because we wanted our bill split. After she told us to write down how much we wanted charged to each card along with the name of the card, she still came back with problems of how to charge our cards. While she was discussing our bill with us, the hostess came over and said," You have a table over there you need to go attend to it." 😳 Then, as we were walking out, the hostess moved to the side so we could get by her. She watched us walk by and never said thank you for coming, we hope you come again, have a good night, nothing. She said absolutely nothing. One thing I know, none of us will step foot in that establishment again. We work extremely close to OPI, but the next time, we'll go to Pizza Hut. My crab pretzel was good and my drink was good. For that, it...
Read moreGreat food from a local fixture. Would've been a 5 star rating, but service wasn't there. I've grown up in the area and can't remember OPI not being here. Even remember when it was an old giant house across the street. Over the years, the area's changed, even the plaza where the restaurant is located. Unfortunately, I've seen service go downhill over time. The place is nowhere near as busy as it's been in years past. The food still remains very good though. The peanut butter burger (as different as it may seem) is a hit. Cream of crab soup is thick and rich, one of my favorites in town. We did carry-out, but were one of three groups that came in all at the same time. We waited for several minutes for anyone to come to the front to even greet us. We let the other parties go ahead of us since we weren't being seated, and the "hostess" told them to just sit themselves. When one woman asked "where?", she replied "wherever you want". Not my idea of proper restaurant service. This used to be a great establishment with very attentive staff, but time has seen a dramatic change. I'd definitely recommend the grub, maybe just not dining in. If you do want to sit down, there's plenty of tables, and seems like you'll be able to sit...
