El Porton Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Roswell

Food is great but customer service is awful!!!! I had two orders messed up so when I called in tonight because like I said food is good a it’s right across the street from me I made sure I said everything I wanted and had the woman on the other end repeat it to me. Got home and I was missing a item called up there the same woman said I am sorry if you come back I will have it for you. So my husband goes up there and refused to give me the item. When the manager came on the phone and I told him he said I was gonna have to pay for that item when I said I wasn’t gonna pay because that’s what I asked for he said well you’re not going to get it. Because that wasn’t the combo you had. I explained that I had issues in the past but they’re getting my order right and I know that I told them Word for Word what I wanted and the lady repeated I said I will no longer be a customer and the manager said he didn’t care I said I was going to put a bad review and he said he didn’t care and...

Website had locations in my state, purchased food online and it give the order to this location. This location refused to refund me my $22 even though I live 9 hours away. POS business and employees. Robbery at it's finest.

Google doesn't allow for additional response and although the business commented there is no direct way to communicate. I went to the website and tried to place an order online. I selected the Arkansas location and placed my order. The confirmation screen showed a pickup location in Georgia. Turns out if you select an AR location on the website it auto defaults to GA locations and then proceeds to tell you there are no AR locations if you try to select "Change my Location". So obviously I selected the right location I wanted to pick up my order from, however the website doesn't work properly. Thankfully my location is honoring my purchase even though the GA location told me they wouldn't...

Updated review. Still our go to place, as it has been for about 17 years. Understand that when we go there we are taking our time. If the place gets busy we don’t care if it takes awhile for them to check on us.

They never rush you, but if you are in a rush they can move things along unless they are very busy.

Our kids grew up with El Porton, and when they visit home with their significant others a dinner at El Porton is an absolute requirement. And they live in New York and New Orleans - they know food.

Love the people that have been there all those years - Arturo, Patricio, Krisol and Blanca especially. They know the regulars and are sure to make you welcome. If they have time they often stop by to shoot the breeze a bit. The head cook (don’t know his name) has been there all that time too.
