GROSS! I'm visiting my family from out of town. Was craving Chinese. Saw this restaurant with 4.1 stars...unfortunately I did not read current reviews. This place smelled funny, kind of like a horse stall. This should have been a red flag. We were in a hurry, so we went right up to the counter and ordered our food, then sat down to wait. Looking around, I saw that it's not clean. Even the counters were dirty. Then when I went to use the restroom, after I waited for who appeared to be either the cook or owner, it was disgusting, dirty & he peed on the seat and left for me to clean off. We took our food home. I have to say we had to throw out the wonton soup. It had a bad flavor, and the noodles tasted stale. The peas in the fried rice were hard and dry. Been ordering from here for years with no issues. Ordered this past Sunday, October 27, and there was nothing good about it. We've noticed a decline in quality recently, but Sunday was a comedy of errors. Placed our phone order and we were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. It was 45 minutes. There were only two people working. The one up front was taking personal phone calls while there were three people not being helped. When I finished there were four people waiting and he was still telling people 15 minutes on the phone. The food was nowhere near as good as usual. Things were cold, because it sat for 30 plus minutes before it was packed to go. Boneless spare ribs were burnt so bad that you couldn't even cut into them, much less eat them. No issues - l just don’t like the taste of the food.
We ordered takeout on Sunday and got 4 different dishes and some Spring and Egg Rolls. I ordered online and they did text me after the fact with a later pickup time but it only went from 1:21 to 1:33 so nothing major.
The sesame chicken was decent and my wife really liked her shrimp with lobster sauce. The rolls were decent - not great but decent. My Kung Pao chicken tasted weird - instead of a brown sauce with chili peppers it tasted like some kind of red hot sauce was added. The same thing with the chicken lo mein - it just didn’t taste very good - not sure exactly why.
