This place has perfected the art of charging premium prices while actively punishing you for wanting variety. Their pricing is insulting.
Over four dollars for one scoop of entirely forgettable ice cream. Six-something for two scoops, but only if you surrender your free will and accept identical flavors. Two different flavors will be an extra dollar because apparently flavor diversity is a luxury service here.
The real genius move is their sampler - four flavors for nine dollars, but with scoops so pathetically small they might as well hand you a teaspoon and call it a day. And their six-scoop option is over eleven dollars, and you must eat the same flavor six times like you're signing a marriage contract. Who on earth wants six scoops of the same thing? If I wanted that much of one flavor, I'd buy a pint from HEB and save myself eight dollars.
Who designed this system? Someone who clearly believes customers should be grateful for the privilege of overpaying for mediocrity while being stripped of basic choices. The ice cream itself is aggressively unremarkable - you're essentially paying a premium to be told what you can and cannot enjoy.
Do yourself a favor and grab some Blue Bell from the grocery store. At least there you can grab whatever flavors you want without taking out a small loan or surrendering your...
Read moreWe LOVED our visit to this place tonight!! They were incredibly friendly with us, and very patient with the indecisive family ahead of us, who placed their orders, and then changed their minds twice while thebirder was beinf prepared, before saying nevermind and regrouping at a table before ordering. The employees were kind, and didn't act impatient or rude at all. Then immediately served us, and were all warm smiles and patience with our flavor questions.
This place has a delightful array of ice creams flavors without the selection being too large or overwhelming. They offer small tastes, which lead to me getting Two scoops instead of my planned Taro beverage, and their Lemon Pie ice cream tastes like divinity.
We also enjoyed: Festive Cake (chocolate cake mixed in to chocolate ice cream), Kheer (highly recommend this nutty, cardamom deliciousness!!) and Strawberry (REAL STRAWBERRIES so it was slightly tart and perfectly sweet and creamy) ice creams.
All 4 flavors were fabulous, though the Lemon Pie and Kheer have a tie for my favorite - Straight up JOY in my face.
I also picked up a milk chocolate Dubai Chocolate bar because I knew I was gonna need a sweet treat tomorrow, too. I may just have to go pick up a coffee to go with that Dubai chocolate, though.
Definitely visit...
