I was never a big fan of winchell's for years. UNTIL! recently a coworker brought winchell's coffee and donuts mixed in with plain croissants and croissants with ham and cheese. Now where do I start. I thought I made good coffee. This coffee was not too strong or weak but some how it gave me a push in a good way. I like my coffee strong. But this coffee was just right. I usually buy my croissant with ham and cheese at a small donut shop near my home. But I tried one from Winchell' with real American cheese and ham not injected with a cheese filler. The croissant was crispy, soft and with great flavor to boot. I sound silly but I'm telling you. I'm a fan now. Winchell's is not your ordinary typical donut shop. They have a large variety of items from bagel breakfast sandwiches to tortas. I tried the carne asada torta. Delicious well made. The staff very friendly, especially that early in the morning. This location is open 24 hrs. This will be my go to spot b4 work in...

Even though it is only a five-minute walk away, I often buy from it, and the service is usually not very good. Okay, I didn't mind, but today is definitely a day that makes me very angry. Yes, I may not be comfortable going to work today! But when I was checking out, a female customer came in to add coffee, and immediately took the cup with a smile on her face to get the coffee. I was not finished yet, and the donuts were not brought to me. I felt unfair treatment. I glanced at her and her smile stopped instantly! Is this a sign of discrimination? I hope everyone can answer my question after...

Our first visit to this location was extremely disappointing. I brought my child in for a simple glazed doughnut and ordered a doughnut hole for myself, which turned out to be very stale. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a regular glazed doughnut and was willing to pay the difference. The cashier, Jaquelinne T, refused and responded very rudely.
When I asked to speak with a manager, she ignored me multiple times--at least ten--and eventually called someone, though it was unclear who. I again requested a manager, and she firmly said no, repeating the same response. I asked why she was being so unkind, explaining that I didn't want to give my child something that tasted bad. She offered no response.
I left feeling disrespected and frustrated. I will not be returning to...
