Terrible service.
I ordered online and paid through Toast and had my mom pick up the food from this place. The cashier threw the pen and the receipt at my mom when she went to pick up the food. The cashier also tried to make my mom sign the receipt, which is illegal because I paid under MY card, not her card. The worker insisted that my mom had to sign the receipt for my card or else she wouldn't give us the food. The worker claimed that Toast would not pay them the money if my mom didn't sign, which shouldn't be true because I have ordered numerous times from other restaurants and shops, and they never ask me for a signature (Google says that Toast does not require a signature). Additionally, Toast says that the payment never gets handed to them, but goes directly to the restaurant, so I have to directly contact the resturant for the refund. I had already paid my money online, sent my order number and online receipt to my mom for confirmation, and the worker would not give us the food. My mom left the restaurant without the food.
I later called in and asked the lady, but she refused to talk to me in English. Later, speaking in Chinese, I explained the situation and asked for an explanation and refund. The same lady started yelling and talking over me on the phone.
Needless to say, although long-term customers (over 10 years) of this place, we will NEVER come here again after experiencing this type...
Read moreAfter a long hard day at work driving home we ordered a take out for dinner at 10pm, we realize we forgot something n drove back to work and got a call from them 1053 pm they will close at 11 pm, we informed them we are on our way we will reach there in 15 minutes, the lady said no we will close at 11 pm and hung up.
When we reached there at 1110 pm the doors were still open and the 2 staff were playing on their phones at the reception, they told us they do not have the food anymore. They are still there but they won’t give us our take out order. What did they do with the food ?
They will rather trash it then let the customers have it for being late even though they are still there ??

No greeting is fine, but the service was awful. I placed a takeout order and gave them my name. They immediately responded, rudely telling me that I had to show them the order.
I understand the need to confirm who's picking up, but their tone and attitude were unacceptable. Eventually, they asked for my phone number to confirm the order, as the Grubhub status still showed 'preparing' with no updates, and I couldn’t provide the page to show them.
So here’s my question: why is giving my name not enough? I don’t know if the lady I dealt with is the owner or not, but if she doesn’t understand English, that’s fine, she could have just spoken in Chinese and expressed that she didn’t understand. That’s her problem, not mine.
