Nothing against the place itself but specifically towards a few bad employees. To start, our waitress treated us as if we were only at IHOP for the free pancake day since we were a group of teenagers. She didn’t even ask for our orders, came to the table decided we wanted free food and waters, then walked away before we stopped her to actually order. While eating, she abruptly handed us our bill, after we already explained that another friend of ours was coming a little late and would be ordering something as well. Again, when he did arrive she assumed he wanted free pancakes and nearly walked away again before we completed our order. We found her to be very rude. My friend asked me to use her card to pay at the counter, where I was asked if I wanted to donate to the cause. I didn’t want to add a donation to my friends card, so I said no for that exact reason. Immediately after, my waitress who happened to be standing there, rudely reminded us to give her a tip. We could tell she assumed we wouldn’t have otherwise. The man then confronted me about not donating, to which I asked if I could ask my friend about it. He already swiped the card and said it was too late. Then, he refused to let me sign the receipt, because it wasn’t my card, so I went back to the table and explained the situation to my friends. We were going to tip. We would have donated. The unbelievablely rude workers at this IHOP will prevent me from ever going back. Being a waitress, I know the stress of working hard on a table, only for the table to leave me nothing. But I stand by my choice in tipping only a dollar. We ask that IHOP asks their employees to show respect and not discriminate customers, as we as customer tried to do...
Read moreI usually visit different restaurant while I am doing things outside home and when is time for a meal while am on the road I like to choose from all IHOPS this one from Kenvil, NJ. Is my favorite spot for breakfast...I feel like been treated like Home and VIP every time I go to, my waiters are usually Mafe & Willy They are awesome there approached to me start with a smile and very polite every time they take care of me, the manager is also super sweet and awesome with everybody at the tables. For the only reason I got hooked up to visit more frequent this IHOP is because of Willy and Mafe. They go all the time the extra mile when it comes about customers greetings and care. THEY MAKE A BIG DIFFERENT THERE FROM OTHER IHOPS. I am a Former Mgr. from Publix Supermarket in Miami, FL. And I exactly know when someone is doing a job with passion and dedication, and the best of best associates of food chain places and supermarkets as well. I am 58 years old and when I get the service from this 2 employees and the welcome from the Mgr. Makes me feel going more often. Thanks!!! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate IHOP for having this special top of the line people working at Kenvil, NJ.
Thanks again;

Read moreMy husband brought me here yesterday for Valentine’s Day. As a true lover of good pancakes and a simple dinner to share together, I was not at all satisfied and honestly, disappointed. I have gluten allergies and so finding good food is difficult, when I knew that iHop has a gluten friendly option for pancakes, I was so excited to try them out! It’s been years since I’ve been able to go to an ihop, so I’m thinking the GF version will be top notch like the normal, original fluffy pancakes. How disappointing when a tiny flat stack of sad looking pancakes comes to table. They were tasteless, dry, and crumbled under the weight of the fork. I was NOT happy and did not enjoy my dinner and left hungry. I don’t think a restaurant that is known for pancakes does the GF community justice with this sad excuse for a gluten friendly option. Maybe it was just the Kenvil location, but I’m never coming back to iHop, they need to revisit their recipe of GF pancakes cause when you advertise Gf pancakes, they should be nearly identical to the original you offer to all your other guests. I wasn’t happy about paying the full price of a stack of GF pancakes that tasted...
