Tania's Pizza — Restaurant in Royal Oak

Never in my life have I had an experience change my entire perspective on life as suddenly as I did today, especially from a pizza place. I was having an awful day, so i figure ill order pizza and cheer myself up. I decided to place an order online for cheese bread and their phenomenal stuffed pizza. I walk in and pay for my food, no problem. I see the guy at the counter go and pull out my cheese bread, look at the receipt, then start looking for my pizza. 'Uh oh, here we go' I'm thinking. Goes and asks someone else, says it'll be another 3-4 minutes. Ok, no problem... 3-4 minutes later, the guy next to me gets his pizza. They realize I'm still there waiting for mine and start looking all over for it. Nowhere to be found, not sure what happened to it, it's not in the oven, not in the warming trays, doesn't look like I'm getting my pizza anytime soon. 'What a terrible day, I'm never coming back to this place' I say to myself... And then WHAM... I'm struck with the single greatest customer service experience I think I've ever had. I didn't catch his name, but red shirt guy deserves a raise. As soon as he realized the pizza wasn't ready, he apologized, asked me for my address, told me to grab a 2 liter on the house, and said the pizza would be delivered to my house asap. If you happened to walk into Tania's you might pick up a few drinks and leave without ever realizing it's actually home to a unique and fantastic pizza shop. At first glance, it looks like just any other liquor store!

After seeing a lot of internet hype around Tania's recently, I decided to stop in and try it out myself to see what all the hype was really about. A few reviews mentioned that there can be long wait times, so I ordered online (which is always great when you can order directly from their website), and went to pick up. When picking up I did end up waiting 5-10 minutes past my pickup time, but it wasn't a huge deal, and I could tell they were having a busy night.

I ordered the stuffed Royal Oaker and have 0 regrets. I opted to go for the extra cheese and extra butter (100% would recommend) -- it may not be the healthiest food in the world, but you're not getting stuffed pizza every day, you might as well make it worth it! The stuffed pizza is a really great concept and brings in the best of both Calzones and Pizza. I also got the cheese sticks, and no disappointments there either. The cost overall was really reasonable and the amount of food was easily enough for 2 meals.

All in all, I have no hesitations in recommending Tania's Pizza, you have to give the stuffed...

I used to order from here all the time especially in the summer. Typically I order from their website directly. Today I used my boyfriends door dash to place the order, I noticed it did not come with pizza sauce. I called the store spoke with DJ and asked if I could get one on the side. He told me there is no way I could pay for the pizza sauce and I would need to place a seperate door dash order. I said “I tried to order the pizza sauce on door dash there but there it was not on there. “

DJ said “well other people do it, so I’m not sure why you couldn’t have ordered it”

I then ask DJ: “what is the pizza sauce under on door dash”

DJ replied: “I dont know what the platform looks like on door dash, i cant tell you whats its under”

I really used to love this place and I literally just brought another pizza same day right before this happened at 5:01pm. I had my cousin try my pizza he loved how good it was, so I gave him that pizza and ordered another and couldn’t find extra sauce option so I called. I ordered another pizza at 5:57pm and called at 6:05 about the pizza sauce. I spent $40.00 on two 10in small pizzas and tried to get sauce was told there was no way to purchase or accomedate. “No free sauce” mind you the sauce is like 2 dollars. Don’t eat here,...
