I had an unfortunate customer service experience with the cashier/shift manager today at the RPB location. I asked if I could split the bill to $20 in cash and the remaining on my debit card. He said yes, but was having a hard time setting that up for me to pay with my card. Since he was having a hard time, I offered to void the whole transaction, take the $20 in cash back, and pay the full amount on my debit card to help make things easier for him. He asked for my debit card and slid it through the side of the monitor. He gave me my card back & said my order will be ready soon. When he brought out the order, I asked for a receipt. He seemed upset when I asked it & then printed it out to give it to me. I looked at the receipt after I left & it said that he ran the full amount in cash. I didn’t see my card being ran on the receipt & he also kept the $20. The money wasn’t mine, so I went back inside to ask for the receipt to reflect what actually occurred. He said he couldn’t give me the money back, couldn’t void the transaction to let me pay the full amount on my card, and couldn’t change the receipt. I’m afraid that there is a possibility some type of fraudulent activity may occur from this situation. I don’t even see the amount taken when I checked my recent transactions. I’m on hold waiting to speak with my bank to report the incident in case any fraud occurs. Won’t ever come back here. I’d rather pay more to go...
Read moreI watched a man who seemed to be a manager, though I'm unsure of that, yell at another female patron in front of me! He was on the phone, and he thought that she (a woman of color mind you) was speaking to him while he was on the phone call and started yelling at her that he was busy on the phone and she should not have been trying to interrupt his phone call. When he was told by her that she had a Bluetooth earpiece in and had also been on a call and was not at all speaking to him, he did not even apologize! His attitude was disgusting. The food they serve is sub-par compared to other sandwich shops in the area, while their prices are among the highest! I often visit the Jon Smiths in Lake Park, and it is leaps and bounds better than this location. It really shows how poor management can ruin even the simplest of businesses. I will never step foot in the Royal Palm location again, and I suggest you...
Read moreThe food is not the reason for the 3 stars. The steak bomb is great, however, the overall upkeep of the place has quite a few question marks around it. Overhead lights need replacing, the store lacks adequate air conditioning and I believe the store just needs a fresh deep clean. With these issues persistent, the atmosphere seems very depressing and unwelcoming. I don't blame that on the staff entirely as much as I blame that on the owner/general manager. Check out the location on Southern and Dixie Highway. Much different atmosphere, way more upbeat, and the store is cleaner and more well-kept. Take notes from other stores and improve. Also, the fries I ordered were a bit soft and not crispy. Outside of that, the sandwich and...
