I wouldn’t say that this is authentic Mexican food, but more commercial. The burritos here are wet and smothered in a sauce with lettuce and tomatoes on top of it where as a traditional authentic burrito does not come moist. They don’t serve barbacoa meat. Also, they open at 11:00 a.m. but do not serve breakfast. The staff has zero knowledge of specials. I say this because I went this evening after work and on the website, it advertised that you can get $5 off an order greater than $25 and $10 off an order greater than $50. My bill was $78 and my server Esmerelda was not aware of this special and had to look hard at my phone in order to believe me. In addition to that the attitude was beyond disgusting. No water was served, and I only had one napkin the entire time. Today is Monday, the restaurant was not full AT ALL. When I ordered a burrito, I asked for the sauce be put on the side. It was. But I specified that I did not want anything on top of the burrito and she could have advised me that lettuce and tomatoes are served on top of the burrito but she did not. When the food came, my boyfriend did not want the burrito because it was not what he expected. The burrito also was not wrapped how a traditional burrito should be. Most restaurants will take the plate back and not charge for it, but Esmerelda seemed more bothered than wanting to help. I do not think Esmeralda is to blame. I think upper management should be responsible for properly training their staff. Servers should be made aware of specials. Servers should know the menu, and above all a bad attitude should not be acceptable. I think I was hired here for a total of five minutes. I interviewed with Maria and made her aware I had zero experience in serving. Maria asked me to leave after five minutes of being hired and her reason was because asked too many questions. If I have zero experience, shouldn’t I be asking questions? What kind of employee would it make me if I didn’t ask any questions? So that everyone knows Maria told me that everyone keeps their purses in a cabinet where ALL the clean plates and utensils are stored. This is the cabinet where plates are taken from to serve customers. That is disgusting and unsanitary. People eat off these plates. This is where she wanted me to put my purse. I was hesitant. That bothered her. She let me go because I did not want to put my purse in an area where there is a lot of traffic in and out. Maria, good luck to you sweetheart as I see here on the reviews the customer service is terrible and...
Read moreI wanted to try a new mexican restaurant today but once I saw and tasted the appetizer from here I knew it was time to leave. We got the combo appetizer it was bad the ground beef is a wanna be taco bell ground beef and the chesse quesadilla was store bought flour tortilla but the taquito were alright still wouldn’t recommend. I highly recommend you to go to the ONLY AUTHENTIC mexican restaurant I know call “Torreo Mexican Cuisine”. They have fresh flour tortilla and are actual mexican food not americanized mexican food like this restaurant. The waiters and waitresses look unhappy the only smile I saw was from the host.
my response:) As I stated, I could tell how it tasted before trying it. It was not good. The only thing eaten was the taquito because it was alright. The rest was put into a to-go box and fed to someone in need, so I didn't waste the food. Some lettuce was also on top, which I ate; that was the only other thing I ate off the appetizer. If the food was so good, I would have eaten a full-course meal at the restaurant, but I didn't even the responder below recognize that I ONLY got an appetizer. As an owner, you should be ashamed of replying to reviews this way. Instead, you should be offering a solution or apologizing. I promoted the other restaurant because they actually sell fresh food. I'm paying them for the excellent service you were very INCAPABLE to provide, so no, I did not get paid for my review, and you certainly don't get paid enough to try to talk above anyone. If you had done your JOB correctly, I wouldn't have left the restaurant that unhappy in the first place, so before you reply to another negative experience, think about what you will say. It shows how much more you must grow up at such a grown age. I hope you have a...
Read moreI have been here many times, and enjoyed the food often. However the past 2 times or so the food lacked taste and came out terrible. I did not go for several months, and on a whim joined my father to give another chance.
Menu had changed noticeably smaller, lacking several dishes including what I always got in the past. When I asked because they had everything according to the menu, the waiter looked clueless and it became clear that he did not understand what he was told fairly quickly. I tried the Mexican steak, as it was the closest that they had to the Asiada YMas I had in the past.
When the food came, the dish was inedible, and like rubber and I asked that they remake it. It came back and was decent, not great and lacked taste or flavor. During this time I had placed a to go order for double chillie releno to bring my mom home.
I paid for the meal and left taking the to go order, as the weather was bad I did not check it which was my mistake. When I got home opening the bag, the food looked disgusting and the restaurant should have never sent that out.
I took it back through the rain, and my mom went inside and spoke to them as I have two bad legs and was trying to avoid getting wet. They were extremely unprofessional, and rude. Including charging my card a second time instead of giving the refund.
When asked for a staple for recites after they claimed they only charged once, and voided the second the manager or woman running the front said that she could not be bothered to go into her office, with an attitude.
They have said they have new owners, and its clear that they do not care about there food or customers. A once very busy restaurant is now nearly empty because of it.
I doubt they will be...
