I wish I could give it no stars. First let me express that I live 1.2 miles away from this establishment due to having surgery on my back I am unable to drive so I figured it would be great for takeout since I've been craving Chinese . After being quoted 45 minutes for my food to arrive and ordering over $50 worth of food I waited an hour and 30 minutes for my food to come to my door lukewarm. Aggravated from the wait I started digging into my food hoping that it would ease me from being upset for having to wait that long. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years so I'm able to tell when food is not fresh or prepared correctly. Every item that I had that was fried was absolutely disgusting from the old dirty oil that it was fried in the strong oil taste left lingering in my mouth was revolting. The wonton soup had a yellow film due to the chicken base that the broth is made with it was so salty to taste and meat in the Wonton tasted rotten. My pork egg foo young was thrown out immediately due to finding worms in it. My fried rice was old and double fried that it was so hard to even eat literally the rice grain was hard. I thought if anything else fails hopefully my steamed pork dumplings will be good. I was terrible wrong again the meat smelled and taste rotten .I will never ever go back to this establishment and voice my opinion against this restaurant to anyone that ask. I am absolutely surprised that they have not been shut down by the health department. I am absolutely baffled that the have business at this restaurant ! The worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life !! When calling the establishment back to voice my complaints I was put on hold and then hung up every time I tried to call back !! This restaurant is not worth anyone's time or money...
Read moreAfter several weeks if cooking dinner at home, alone, I decided to have a mild treat of Chinese take out, and wanted to try somewhere I hadn't been before. I casually stated to the order taker that this was my first time to China Sea, and reminded her how much first impressions matter. It didnt seem to matter. The orange chicken combination I ordered with pork fried rice was a total disappointment. The chicken coating was way too "doughy", uncrispy, absorbing most of oil and what little sauce there was, thus rendering chicken not only "doughy" but extremely soggy. Speaking of the so called orange sauce, the taste of orange was just, barely noticeable. Finally, as far as the pork fried rice - I'm used to most places "skimping" on the protein/vegetable additions, but in this case the bits of pork and few peas were of the most minute amounts. The pieces of pork were tiny and few and far between. The only other addition, green peas, were also sparse. Even though I've had high end dine in, and take out from all over the world since being an American living in the far east as a child since the late 1950's, I am by no means a "picky" eater or snob! I'm just comparing to my experience with Chinese (American) take out the last 20 years in the South Florida area. As a former distributor/wholesaler, I'm well aware of the difficulty restaurants have in keeping prices down for the consumer while having to absorb continually rising wholesale costs. Still, it seems, the "cutting corners" on the final product to the customer, is getting a bit...
Read moreWould have gave 0 stars if I could have. So I placed an online order on 08/08/2017 and received a call from China Sea stating that the new delivery minimum changed from $15.00 to $17.00. Although it is not a huge difference, the girl stated I still needed to add something else to my order if I wanted it delivered. I told her that they are falsely advertising a delivery minimum of $15.00 on their website and that I didn't have anything else to add to my order and if they can deliver it this time since it technically wasn't my fault in the first place because it is still posted on their website. She said "Oh well I will tell my boss but your still going to have to add something" So I told her to cancel my order. She stated that since the new year they changed it because the tax went up...well its August - 8 months into the new year and you still haven't changed it on your website? That's your restaurants problem, not the person ordering online. They don't care about their customers and continued to argue over a $2.00 difference. Is someone suppose to order $2.00 more of food that they don't even want? That's ridiculous. Will never be ordering...
