The only reason I am giving this place a one star is because hubby said the frog legs were OK and the tiny salad was good at best. If it were just up to my dinner I'd give it a zero. First off, they bring out a small loaf of honey wheat bread that they put a smear of melted butter over the top. No knife to cut the bread with except your butter knife, and no butter to put on the bread. Then, when the dinner comes out, there is no steak knife served with the steak. LOL I ordered NY Strip Steak and Baked Potato for $23. Maybe if I had teeth like a shark I could have eaten the steak. It was so tough-I had to cut it into tiny pieces and chew it the best I could. (Sawing at it with my butter knife.) I still ended up swallowing most of it practically whole. Normally, we will not complain when we go out to dinner. I will just let others know our experience and we never return to that restaurant if its too bad. And this was bad. The table next to us was already eating their salad when we arrived. We had gotten our dinner and they still had not gotten theirs. They waited 15 minutes for their food to come out and when it did the lady's plate had a hair across it. She showed it to her server and the server replied, "Well, my hair's pulled up!" Like that made any difference, because there was still a hair lying across her plate? SMH We drove from Olive Hill to have a nice dinner because the reviews were top rated. Boy what a disappointment. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant! I'd say save your money and go...

Tucked away at 310 Houston Street, The Train Station is quickly becoming the spot to beat in Russell—and trust me, it’s worth hopping off the tracks for.
I went for the ribeye, medium rare, with a loaded baked potato—and wow. Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth, fat rendered just right. The flavor held its own so well I wouldn’t dare touch a bottle of steak sauce. This is steak done right.
The vibe? Spotless, bright, and welcoming, with subtle nods to Russell’s railroad roots. Clean and modern without being cold—just the right touch of hometown pride.
Even better, it’s veteran-owned and operated, and the crew couldn’t have been kinder. Friendly, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they’re doing.
Honestly, this is exactly the kind of place Russell has been needing. Forget the chains—The Train Station delivers the...
Read moreOh my goodness where to start. The Train Station is amazing and they probably feed my family at least once a week if not more often! I am a huge steak girl (and pretty judgmental), but oh my goodness the ribeye with haunt your cravings. The salad dressings are top notch with a beautiful side salad. The wings are great as well! I need to take pictures next time I go, but the food is so good I don't want to wait to...
