Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Russellville

Consistently poor quality food that's significantly more expensive than any other fast food in town. Seriously...if you're hungry for a burger, consider spending the same amount of money for better quality at any number of local establishments. So far as I'm concerned, Sonic is generally only good for when a group cannot agree on what kind of food to eat and their variety is why I give two stars instead of one.

My latest visit to my local Sonic was not a positive encounter. I'd also note that Sonic has removed feedback opportunities on their receipts. Instead, you can either keep your problem to yourself or the receipt will direct you to call a manager. After the breakdown in service that I received, it wasn't worth more lost time to fuss over a couple dollar order.

From order completion to order fulfillment took 30 minutes. This was for one 4-piece mozzarella sticks. That's it! They ignored my Red Button presses...TWICE. Seriously. The menu screen showed that the button was pressed and that I'd be attended to shortly...and then it reset. These were at the 20 and 25 minute wait marks. But finally answered when I tried again at 30 minutes. THIRTY!!! They weren't behind. Cars were zooming in and out around me. They lost my order. When they brought it to me, they charged me full price and the sticks were stone cold. The car hop was somewhat apologetic but only just as far as he needed to be to complete the order and move on.

I'd like to say this quality of service is unusual but it seems like nearly every time I try to go back to this store they just keep giving me reasons to go somewhere else the next time.

But hey, their one, undeniably redeeming factor is their Happy Hour drinks, right? Almost. My wife pulled in across from me that same day and time with a mobile order she made earlier. Three drinks took almost 30 minutes to fulfill and when they arrived, they still got two of them wrong. We aren't talking picky and complex flavor ratios were off. I mean like, Coke, Sprite, and Ocean Water was filled as Coke and two Dr. Peppers.

Maybe it's poor timing and coincidence. It's unlikely I'll find out for...

One of the worst sonics. Today I placed a mobile order for pickup. I get to location, carhop comes out with one drink and a bag. I proceeded to ask where the rest of the order is. "What? That's it" No sir, I'm missing 5 other drinks. He comes back out has 4 drinks. I tell him okay, this blast you gave me earlier is wrong, its supposed to be brownie and your still missing a drink. He says sorry doesn't know what was happening. Clearly I got that. He was gone for less than 30 seconds. I get home, the blast literally just had ice cream in the cup topped with just a few pieces of brownie, a chocolate shake, had no choclate. I asked for no whipped topping, they added it. I drove back so we could fix the two completely wrong orders. And was met with a sorry about that, sorry there wasn't enough brownie pieces. Like sorry its a blast, not a sundae. I live around the corner from this place, and it was convient to go to, but its always something. Something is missing, the food is made wrong, the food is old and cold. I say skip this place, there are plenty of other fast food...

Ate here this morning, well I shouldn't say I ate because I ended up throwing it in the trash as I left. Ordered the sausage and egg toaster sandwich with tots. The tots were so over done it was unreal. They were just as hard and crunchy on the inside as they were on the outside. The sandwich was absolutely disgusting. It had a weird smell to it and the egg was brown and no not from the grill. I know for a fact it wasn't made fresh because after I ordered it, my meal was coming out to me in less than a minute. They seriously need to shut this sonic down and completely redo it. At least half of the drive up screens are broke. The outside is absolutely filthy and needs power washed. I don't even want to know what the inside looks like. It's pretty obvious that the owners just sit back and reap the rewards and allow the place to rot into the ground.
