Speedway Cafe — Restaurant in Rutherford College

This is a small local restaurant and a great place to eat.. I eat there frequently. I have never gotten anything I did not like. They have a varied menu with something for everyone. AND they usually have a variety of fresh baked goods as well as their ice cream counter. Staff is generally friendly and helpful, My orders arrive promptly unless it is an extremely busy time. NOTE...I hope you folks who are unhappy do keep in mind that Covid + folks who are not returning to work leave these independent cafes (as well as other food places) with not enough dependable help. We have all seen the "Help Wanted signs everywhere. I have seen a closed sign a few times when I went for eats (Lack of help). I have also been there a few times when I am sure the person who took my order was also helping in the kitchen. KEEP THAT IN MIND when you get impatient. Prices at other places have increased substantially too. I am really appreciative that we have Speedway Cafe available. So I would of loved to given 4 stars cook was very nice. My 3 stars was I had ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich combo. I told the cashier I didn't want the spicy chicken sandwich combo. I wanted the sandwich with the sauce on it. Well she rang it up and it came to 10.25 which I thought was really high for paying cash but I paid it. So when I got my sandwich and bit into it. It wasn't a buffalo chicken sandwich it was the spicy chicken sandwich so I thought oh well ill eat it not really giving it much thought.
