Waffle House — Restaurant in Rutherfordton

The food was good HOWEVER, the service was so so so bad. We got there and there were several people waiting to sit. The bar was mostly open and several tables were empty and not cleaned yet. It took quite some time for anyone to acknowledge that tables needed to be cleaned even though it seemed that most people were just standing around. Our server took about 10 minutes to stop walking around with a pot of coffee that she wasn't serving and come to speak to us. My order came out wrong and was fixed fairly quickly but not without an eye roll from the server when I brought the mistake to her attention. My fiancé never did get his sausage and was done with his entire meal and had to ask for his waffle, which our server stole from someone else. I felt bad for the people near us so we got menus for ourselves and for them. We also made sure to pass our syrup to them. It blows my mind that wr had syrup the entire time and no waffle but the people next to us had a waffle the whole time ans no syrup. I can't even begin to describe the drama that was happening inside and the disrespectful comments between coworkers. The managers seemed to only be slowly fiddling with things and giving no direction or guidance to the employees. Overall, I was definitely entertained but I will not go back to this location. Not sure what their managers make per hour, but I would consider applying...

Let me clarify first: I have been to waffle houses all over the east coast, and i know what to expect as far as service and food goes. That being said, this waffle house was very bad. The service was awful and slow. When the waitress finally came to the table i asked for a coffee and a water. She said "coffee and orange juice?" Im not sure how she misheard me that bad. She then took my order, but for some reason waited 15 minutes to call it out. When I got my food, the double hashbrowns i had ordered had one half slice of cheese that had been crudely thrown on to the very corner. I asked for another slice, and instead of bringing me a plate with a slice of cheese, she took my plate and sat it down next to the grill and walked off. A few minutes later she came back, and without washing her hands or putting on gloves grabbed another slice and tossed it on my hashbrowns, then proceeded to walk around with my plate in her hand for another 30 seconds. The bread on my sandwich was burned, but I didnt say anything in fear of losing another 10 minutes. The rest of my meal was mediocre at best. Dont think I'll be returning...

Went for breakfast food at night time LOL for the first time in a pretty long time and I must say I was disappointed. Rutherfordton North Carolina waffle house was not clean at all and there were only two employees there the cook and waitress and they were certainly overwhelmed. I ordered cheese on my eggs and when it arrived there was no cheese so I called the waitress over and told her and asked her if she would so kindly just bring me some cheese in a bowl. she yelled at the cook that he did not put it on there to which he replied you did not tell me to and they proceeded to have a little argument LOL meanwhile I was patiently waiting for her to bring me some cheese and a little bowl but she never did instead she comes back with not one plate of eggs but to play today eggs not thoroughly cooked but with cheese on them anyway LOL needless to say I know I got a tip that day but my dog ate good when I got home, step it up waffle house. not only that but their prices have went through the roof since my last visit therefore they don’t get a good review for...
