Last night we had a very bad experience with the bar tender and the guy who said he is the Owner Rogelio Florez he was very rude and talked so disrespectful to me. We just wanted to see the fights. My friend and I had one beer when he went to purchase another beer the bar tender took his $50 bill and then turned to him saying its fake and wouldn't give it back. And had the bouncer remove us from the bar, I have never been so embarrassed in my life. They didn't even check the bill with a marker, they just took it and sed it was fake and refused to give it back. But lucky for us we new a few other guys that were there and they helped us get the $50 bill back. We went to the liquor store right next to Brownies and the man checked the $50 bill for us. "Yes it is reall" he said! I didn't think people could be so scan less over $50! Never going back there. I have pictures of the money with the marker on it but I don't know how to post it on here. Just becareful when you go here and make sure to go with a few people I would not want this to happen to anyone else. Good Luck and Happy...
Read moreBrownies. From an old Irish bar to a budding spacious alcove in the pocket area of Sacramento. The bar still retains, as of 8/28/19, the name Brownies. The climate of the new blends with the changing winds of the new ownership, but the mood and effect still welcomes the intimate experience of your favorite hole-in-the-wall bar. You can get some fantastic Mexican from a wonderful restaurant nearby, right at the bar. The magic in the experience comes from the people that still continue to frequent the new direction. The new design has booth seating and pool tables with sports channels available, but I think you'll come for the experience. Cash only, but there's an ATM inside. These kinds of places are what I seek in the...
Read moreUnderstand the place is sweet dive that actually has good food but you won't find much of that after lunch,. After that, the crowd goes from day- time professional drinkers and then to that of transitioning to a quite friendly afternoon crowd that just keeps getting more interesting as the hours go by. All the same, my recommendation is to both arrive and leave as early as possible as it is there are only two types at Brownie's: those who are better at drinking than you and those who are not. In a place like this, it's always best to go ahead and leave before you learn who's...
