My opinion has changed after tonight. We have been coming here since It first opened. I have never had such horrible customer service! They stuffed 3extra large sized burritos in a paper bag which broke so we were given another paper bag which broke again. We should never have to catch our food from hitting the ground. We order the same thing every time and it is always put in a plastic bag . That wasn't even the worst part. Only one burrito was actually wrapped the other two were open . When I bit into mine the tortilla was so hard and stale ! I called them immediately and a young guy answered the phone and told me "it was your husbands fault he dropped them on the floor so that's on him" I was appalled and stated you just lost our business . If they were dropped on the floor and open how is it they were taken by the staff and put back into yet another small paper bag? Which started to rip when it was given back? Two out of the three burritos were so badly made my son and myself couldn't eat them due to how stale the tortillas were they just exploded. My husband and I both work in customer service and would never be allowed to talk that way to a customer or we would be fired on the spot! He also ACCUSED HIM OF DROPPING THEM ON THE GROUND WHEN THEY NEVER DID!!!! Everything tasted different even the two LARGE salsas we paid extra for. Hopefully that kid learns how to work with the public so he can keep his job . I will never come here again which is sad for us. Living in landpark we have always supported small businesses but not this one anymore. I miss the...
Read moreWent here for the first time this morning after a coworker constantly said they have the best breakfast burritos. Person taking our order was very friendly. Many people came in and out as we were waiting for our order, so we knew it had to be good. Only problem was that after waiting for 30 minutes, people that had placed orders after us started getting their food before us. When the folks that ordered immediately before and after me asked where their orders were, the staff started getting confused. One person was told the cashier was new, another was told their order would be right out. I was told the kitchen didn't know their printer was out of paper and this is why my order wasn't done, but my order would be ready in 10 minutes. Another person asked if their order was ready; it had been for a while, but they were calling the number and not the name; this person ordered over the phone and gave them a name, but was not given a number. We finally got our order an hour after we paid. Food was good, but not so good that I'd be willing to wait an hour again. Not sure if it was due to the cooks having to speed cook to get orders done, or if this is how it normally tastes. Food would be maybe 3 or 3.5 stars, the wait bumps it down to 2 stars, but I'm giving 3 stars because the staff didn't panic and held their cool with the 5 people in their faces about why their orders weren't ready and more people placing orders in person and over the phone.
Was hoping to have a new go-to place, but this visit didn't really put on a great...
Read moreCame at 11am from Elk Grove to grab breakfast burritos for my wife and I on our eighteenth anniversary before she went to work. If you’re not a regular, don’t expect much. Walked in and asked if they sold super breakfast burritos—short, heavyset lady behind the counter hit me with an eye roll and a dry “no.” Asked about horchata, she just pointed at the jug next to her. Then she asked if I wanted ice. I said light ice, and she slid the cup over, pointing at the ice machine by the menu. All minimum wage attitude with Rodeo Drive energy—in Curtis Park, of all places. There’s a community college down the street, a park where lowriders post up, and Broadway is right around the corner. Not far from Oak Park either, but they act like it’s some exclusive spot.
Shout out to the cook—the burrito was actually good. The potatoes in it were the same kind you find in canned corned beef hash, which I didn’t expect but honestly worked. Customer service, though? Straight-up comedy. This spot tries to act upscale, but anybody from Sacramento knows this area isn’t...
