The yang chow fried rice is very good. Its probably my most favorite fried rice dish. It's tied with Co Do's fried rice as best fried rice I've ever ate. There's plenty of meat in the fried rice dish. It's a big portion. If you like fried rice then you'll love this. I also love the bbq pork chow fun. There's plenty of big pieces of pork. The noodle is thick and there's plenty of it. My girlfriend liked the #16 pho. There was also a ton of meat. The broth was still hot when we got home. She said it was tasty and hit the spot. Flavor for everything was good. The price has gone up but so has almost every other restaurant. The parking lot is a nightmare. The spaces seem almost too small. Park farther away if you don't want people dinging your doors. But at night, don't park too far. There are many ladies of the night walking around. Don't talk to anyone or give directions when the sun goes down. Super sketchy. This place was loaded with door dashers when I came to pick up my food. It was very hectic but the employees had a handle on it. I phoned in my order and was told 15 to 20 mins. There were probably 6 door dashers when I walked in. We were served in order. So after they were all taken care of, it was my turn. All together, I placed my order at 7 pm and was handed my hot and fresh food at 730 pm. So, about a 30 min wait because there were so many door dashers. Not too bad on my opinion. If you eat here, you'd probably get your food faster than me. The employees were all working very hard and fast trying to get everyone taken care of so we could all be in and out. It's been a long time since I've been to Hoa Viet. Everyone seems more polite, unlike in the past. Their customer service seems to have gotten better. I will definitely come back. I recommend you eat here if you like Asian food and especially if you LOVE Vietnamese food, like I do.

The outdoor seating here is very open and relaxing. They do offer indoor seating as well. Service was very good when it came to ensuring our order was correct. Food was maybe a 6 out of 10. We ordered the appetizer combo, calamari, grilled pork rolls, pork and rice plate, meatball pho, and won ton soup. Appetizer were ok the calamari had absolutely no flavor other than the topping they added on top. The soups we're good I really enjoyed the broth of the won ton soup. The inside stuffing of the wonton and egg rolls seem to be the same it's was a little different flavor than I was used to, still good though. Pork rolls were better than some around town and my girlfriend said the pho was missing a distinctive flavor that pho usually has. Overall the food was good not amazing. I always say try for yourself.

An absolute disgrace to the Vietnamese culture. I arrived 12 minutes prior to closing, by myself. The restaurant was half way full and food still being ran to tables. I was refused service by a lady and she said the kitchen was closed. I asked her to check again because I still saw fresh food coming out and I already knew what I wanted. She came back and her answer changed to to-go only. I had a 45 minute drive ahead and obviously did not want to eat cold pho. As I'm getting in my car, I see two Vietnamese gentlemen pull up, get out of the car and go sit at a table. The same lady grabs 2 menus and brings them to the gentlemen. I only knew they were Vietnamese because I went inside right away and told the lady that was wrong of her and why is she taking their order and not mine. She spoke to them in Vietnamese and then dealt with me. Then she took me back to another lady at the register speaking Vietnamese to her also. The other lady again told me know and when I insisted, finally asked me what I want. At this point I was absolutely disgusted with the treatment and service. Even if they would have brought me food, I wouldn't trust it. If I owned or managed this restaurant, I would have a serious talk with those two women and how to treat all customers equal. Also, handling escalated situations in English so as not to be rude. I've eaten at over 50 Vietnamese restaurants over the years and this type of service and racist treatment was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. This place is a disgrace to restaurants and the Vietnamese culture in general. I would boycott this place for the racist treatment; I don't condone racism in this country or support...

All The Bad Reviews Are True! Be Careful Eating At This Place. They Are Some Nasty People. The Same Gloves They Cook With Are The Same Gloves They Wear When They Take Their Smoke Breaks, Break Down Boxes, Take Out The Trash And Touch The Dumpster With. Then They Go Right Back In With Those Same Gloves. I Saw Them Pick Up A Random Box And Use It As A "Lid" To Transport Hot Soup I Assume To The Other Side Thru The Back. A RANDOM CARDBOARD BOX!? EW! Also, You Aren't Getting Fresh Food. You're Getting The Same Ol Frozen Meat And Ingredients That You Can Buy At The SF Market Yourself. The Staff Is Rude When I Complained. I Live Behind This Restaurant And One Building Over, I Can Smell Literal DEATH. Like, It Smells Like They Found Old Road Kill On The Side Of The Road Then Cooked It Up And Threw Away The Rest. No Matter How Many Times I Say Something, They Do Absolutely Nothing. Imagine Not Being Able To Ever Open Your Windows Because The Smell Alone Makes You Physically Sick?! Just Nasty Messy Stinky People. And Trust, From What I've Seen And Smelled!? Don't Do It. Rats & Roaches Running Rampant All Around Here Because THEY Won't Just Be Clean Individuals. And For God's Sake, Power Wash Them Nasty Dumpsters! Kept The Whole Complex Up One Night Power Washing The Damn Floors Outside, But Didn't Power Wash Them Dumpsters. And Close Them At Night. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! Eat Here At Your Own Risk. You Just May Get Food Poisoning. Or Even Bugs Or Rat Fur In Your Food. And...
