Huron Fish Co. — Restaurant in Saginaw

First, it should be noted that their service is both efficient and friendly. It's increasingly rare to have either, but they provide both. We ordered the Huron Whitefish dinner, and 2 fish sandwiches. I had assumed the fish sandwiches would be on the smaller side, as they were about the cheapest non-side on the menu. Ordering 2 was the best mistake I've made at a restaurant, the sandwiches, individually, were both the biggest fish sandwich I've ever had, with about 4-5 pieces of fried fish each. The photo I've attached does not do it justice. It was good, too. High quality fish, delicious breading, a slathering of seasoned tartar sauce. I cannot stress enough how good these sandwiches were. I was full after the first, but the second one getting reheated would be a tragedy. Reminder, they're the same price each as the value meal trend going around fastfood restaurants right now. I’ve lived here for a little over a year and Huron is where I typically go, mainly because I’m not familiar with any other fish market. But EVERYTIME I I order, over the phone, I’m ALWAYS told 40-45 min sometime an hour, but when I go, I’m ALWAYS told 15 minutes. Proper customer service would just say “we won’t cook the food until you pay”. I’m tired of that. It’s an inconvenience. Also, the last few times I ordered, the presentation was TRASH! I don’t want mash potatoes, I want a baked potato. And I don’t want attitude because I address it. A simple I’m sorry let me get you another is all that’s needed. Also I dont understand why no one is wearing gloves or masks??? And finally the last order, my fish was so DRY I thought it was burned. Absolutely love this place. First off it's always clean, they also have a large selection and if it's something that they don't have they will order it for you. Not only do the choice to buy it and cook yourself but 0 offer the option for you to buy and have them cook it for you. They also have a great menu of different dinners available. The prices are fair on the menu and for all the items that they sell in store. The staff goes above to help you with any questions, concerns and information on all the seafood.
