WORTH EVERY PENNY. We arrived around 6:40 pm and they informed us it would be a 40 minute wait. Around 7:15 pm, someone came out and asked us if we wanted to be seated at the bar. We said yes and they escorted us to the back. I love the open kitchen in the back! We were able to see the chef preparing the scallops and fettuccine. The ambiance is very casual, and would be ideal for date night or catching up with a small group of friends. The place is too small for large groups!!
They have a huge oyster selection. They also have amazing entrees. The two of us ordered 4 Kumamoto oysters, 2 orders of the fettuccine with clams, and one order of the scallops special.
The Kumamoto oysters were amazing. $3 for one was a little pricey compared to other places, but we were in the city. The oysters were a bit smaller than the other oysters, but were super sweet! When the fettuccine came, we were a bit surprised because it was smaller than we expected, after seeing the pictures on yelp. This entree was perfection. They give you a good amount of clams in the dish. The scallops were seared beautifully, but the mushroom risotto tasted a little bland to us.
Service was wonderful. The waiter checked up on us several times to ensure we were satisfied with everything. When we asked for the check, he also brought us over a small slice of the whiskey pound cake. The pound cake was delicious. It wasn't too dry like some other places. Overall, this is a...
Read moreOrdered today. Total was $14.00 with tip included. I'm currently at one hour of waiting for my delivery. I called and a woman told me it was out for delivery. I called her bull because I checked the tracking. When I called her on it she changed her tune and said it was up next for delivery. I'm not okay with paying this much to wait a hour for my lunch.
The excuse was they are short handed on drivers and in shop. So... Maybe the owner needs to address that. I don't think the Wade's had this many issues while they ran it.
Maybe pay your people a living wage and you'd retain employees. I also suggest not being okay with your employees lying to customers.
Now I get a sandwich that has been sitting out for an hour, and a soda with no ice left because it's been a hour since I've ordered. Can't wait, sounds delicious.
UPDATE: After a hour and 10 minutes, I meet the GM "Chandler" (I think?) who hands me my food, and after THIS ENTIRE GOD DAMN TIME, there aren't any chips. So 70 minutes for a WRONG order. I sent him back with it and told him...
Read moreI ordered delivery at 6:24 pm. At 7:13 pm the order was still not “Out for Delivery” on the tracker. When I called, the young man told me it was out for delivery. When I said that the tracker does not indicate that, there was some conversation where he was telling someone else that he couldn’t find my order. Eventually he came back on and said it was on the counter and was next for delivery. When I asked how long, he wasn’t sure. I told him I would be there in the next 10 minutes to pick it up and to please remove the delivery charge from my order. When arriving to pick up, they again seemed unsure of where the order was, but after some bumbling around, finally located it. When asked about the removal of the delivery charge I was told they did.... they in fact did not, so I paid for a delivery I picked up myself. From the time I ordered until the time I arrived back home it took an hour and 20 minutes... not so...
