Ordered a pepperoni pizza for take out. Sent husband to pick it up at the time the text said it would be ready (the later end of the range) so he arrived probably about 7 minutes after that. 25 plus minutes went by and I finally called him and he said "they are getting it ready now". Another 20 minutes called again and he said "the one I thought was ours wasn't. Im still waiting." After about an hour the pizza was ready and he came straight home. Didn't stop anywhere else. We immediately open the pizza box and I looked at him wide eyed and said "This is a fresh pizza?" He kind of shrugged. I said "you watched them take this out of the oven?" He said " no I didnt actually see it come out."
Now I'm not even complaining about the wait time. It was a Saturday evening so I get they're busy but to wait that long for what we got is pretty bad.
This pizza looked like it had been sitting in the box for a good hour. It was dry as a bone. No pooled grease from the hot pepperoni or melty, stringy cheese. It was sort of warm to the touch but a pizza less than 10 minutes out of the oven should still be almost too hot to eat. The crust was so chewy we had to rip pieces away with our incisors. It was very difficult to bite through.
The photo attached is the minute we took it out of the box. Again, not more than 8 to 9 minutes after my husband carried it out of the store and allegedly it had just been made which I really doubt. This HAD to have been an old reheated pizza because if this is a fresh made pizza something is wrong.
I lived on Long Island for many years. I worked at a pizza place there for over a year. This is not NY quality pizza. The style they are going for may be the closest you'll find around this town but it's a swing and a miss. The execution is lacking.
It didnt taste BAD person se. Just the texture and lack of of anything special is a disappointment. For the size of the pizza you get I'm not mad at the price but I am mad at spending nearly $40 with tax and tip for something we...
Read moreWas working in the area and they happened to be right around the corner so I called and ordered a pepperoni pizza and Parm breadsticks. Not knowing what to expect I went to get my food 20 minutes later and wow walking in what a great atmosphere then bam see the pizza counter tons of pizzas and bread sticks on display for sale by the slice made my mouth water. My pizza was not done yet so I got to watch them pull it out of the oven and hand grate fresh parmesan cheese over the giant pizza it was a good experience. The place is very clean. Very very professional and I give it 10 out of 10 for an in-person experience. Upon taking my food back to the job site and opening the boxes, what a surprise, me and my coworker both discussed the pizza as we ate it and decided it is top two if not the best pizza we have ever had. If you get one, definitely get there hot honey and drizzle a little on your pizza. It will...
Read moreI really like the idea and concept of this eatery. Unfortunately the focus seems scattered trying to cater to by the slice and to go orders. Also one person cannot handle that work load, seems like one person could handle to go orders and the other walk in? Our group of six came in to dine in, but there were four people waiting for to go orders at separate tables, so there was nowhere to sit. The delicious specialty pizza's and cheesecakes must sell out immediately because this was my third visit and it seems the selection is cheese, pepperoni, and pepperoni jalapeno. I would love to try the items they post online but when I get there they aren't available. Our group of six could not order a whole pizza or breadsticks because of the to-go wait being over an hour. I am sure the to go money is better than the walk in traffic. I do feel bad for the one worker trying to handle that whole work load,...
