I like having a burrito place in town. They do take out, You can order online. They have all kinds of great Mexican dishes from chimichamga, to tacos, enchiladas and of course burritos. Ingredients are fresh and the portions are not at all skimpy,. It's got a nice small sit down area as well and it's comfortable. Despite all of this, I'm not a real fan of the food. The burritos, while fresh and sizeable, feel like they lack full flavor. The onions are cut a bit too thick for my taste and the beef isn't quite as seasoned as I like it. Chips and guac are fresh and tasty. Chimichanga come big but again, not much in flavor. I would say my favorites here are the quesadillas. Cheese and meats taste pretty good with those. While you can order online and it lets you specify ingredients, sometimes the online is missing menu items and the ingredient tool seems broken. Not a big deal, but online ordering would really set this place apart from most local competition. They do take phone orders.
Give it a try, might be better suited to others tastes. Just didn't click with...
Read moreVisited this restaurant twice now and have been pleasantly surprised each time. My first order (lunch)was an online order for a chicken burrito. The website was super easy to use and gave me the option to select what time was convenient for me to pick up my order. (I placed it the night before) The chicken is the most flavorful chicken I have ever had, super seasoned with great Mexican flavors. The burrito was stuffed with all my selections and an excellent value for the price. I ate the whole thing and didn't need dinner later. I visited the second time for dinner and had the 3 taco's with steak... Steak was super seasoned and so tender! The portion sizes are huge, however you tend to overeat because the food is so good! This brand new restaurant has a few kinks to work out, but the food quality and taste make up for that. I visit St. Albans once a week and now have a definite 'go to' place for my lunch now. My only regret is I didn't snap photos of the...
Read moreFood is good. They moved in with Nelly's pub & grill and surely missed all their menu offers. This time around in Feb 2021, I got the Alburg burrito, it was to have tator tots and I found 3 in there. Do not ask to sit in the dining room, felt like we were eating outside even though we were near the heater. Then had to sit on metal chairs that were in a cold dining room. Should block the gap at the bottom of the door to prevent cold air coming in. Seems whenever you crave something and haven't had it in a while, it's not always the same as the last few times. I think La Casa needs it own place again. Mixing it with the pub and have mostly pub food doesn't enhance La Casa's theme for Mexican food. When it had its own place food was great. I know they probably had to combine with their other restaurant due to COVID, but please bring the larger selection for La Casa's menu. Please make dining room...
