We were a group of about 11 maybe 12. Parking was not suitable for a group this large. I arrived fifteen minutes later than everyone else and had to park at a nearby parking lot area and walk about 5 minutes.
I ordered their burger, well done. It had to be returned because it was very medium rare. I wasn't going to ask for it to be recooked for fear of my food being damaged, spit in etc but the waitress assured me that the cook was friendly and pleasant. She was. My food was cooked well and not burnt, which I appreciated.
I also ordered fried pickles, French fries, onion rings, the pretzel and a side salad with lemonade. The pickled fries are length wise and are not cut into circles. There is also more bread than pickles.
The onion rings were really good. Perfectly breaded and larger than normal, which I enjoyed.
The salad was extremely small but ended up being the perfect amount. It was fresh and delicious. I'm a Blue Cheese fan, which they make their sauce in house, DELICIOUS and perfect in every way!
I was unable to swamp chips for french fries. I had to purchase an order of fries and an order of onion rings (I always have to have both, it's a habit, lol) although I didn't want the chips.
I ordered the pretzel to go. A lot of us shared amongst one another at the table. It's HUGE! The beer cheese sauce was really good. Friendly heads up, the pretzel taste better warm. If you order it to go, like we did, you'll have to rewarm it. The following day, my group agreed it tastes better in house.
Lastly, the waitress was very organized. She had a tab for everyone at the table on her tablet. My name is a bit complicated so she placed me as Sweety, lol, which was fine as long as my order wasn't mixed in with someone else's and my food was to my liking. She did an excellent job.
I will say too, for such a large group, they were able to make accommodations but it was very tight since the establishment is small. Also, if you're a sampler like myself, you won't have the room needed to purchase like I did.
In all, outside of the medium-rare burger incident, we had a good time and I would totally...
Read moreThis was the second time I've come here for dinner. I waited several months between visits as the first experience left something to be desired. As a St. Bernard resident I still have high hopes, but there is obviously lots of work to be done. We met family at the brewery for dinner at 7:30. I was pleased to see a hostess station at the door. We were seated promptly but then waited for 15 minutes before a server ever greeted us and it was 8pm before we ever got our drinks. Or server was excellent, but later found out she took our table because the server assigned to our section couldn't keep up. Glad she stepped in though! Once we ordered dinner it was almost another 30 minutes before we recieved it and it was lack luster at best. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on a rye bun. The bun was stale and fell apart and the chicken had been frozen and was over cooked and flavorless. The atmosphere is great, still love the old building and the live music (Randy Grey) was amazing. Just wish they could get the whole "being a...
Read moreTook a little trip to Cincinnati for the week and was looking for a nice Pub/Brewery to enjoy and this place came up and only a 5 minute drive from my hotel. Found it and drove around to the back. Came between lunch and dinner. Walked up the stairs and went inside. Wasn't anyone that greeted me but followed the signs for the main bar and sat down. Only a few people were there. Was greeted and handed a menu. Asked what I wanted to drink and tried the Bohemian. Not a huge beer drinker but this was good! I enjoyed it so much I had a 2nd. Haha. Now for food, I went with an appetizer first. I got the cauliflower wings. I just got a regular but you get 2 flavors. Those were very delicious. I had a burger and built with pepper jack cheese, bacon, tomato, onion and mayo. Very good!!! Also had some coleslaw and that was good! As I was eating, there was a lot of signs with the place's name on it. Very neat place! Will definitely be visiting again when I go back down for...
