As a bride, I wanted to support my local community as much as possible food, DJ, tents, etc. were all locally hired but today we’re talking about the Bistro.
5/5 would recommend Anchor Point for your catering needs, the staff and management were professional, prices were affordable, and the flavor was everything. Our guests were raving all night about the food!
Here is the story:
First I’d like to discuss how we got to know Anchor Point Bistro, We recently moved to town and stopped in one evening off of some raving reviews from local friends.
Upon entering the building, the atmosphere stood out to me, the lights, the décor, and the people. Welcoming and friendly, something you might expect in a town like St Clair. There is something on the menu for every one of my 4 picky children. We visited there often during our first few months in town as our stove still hadn’t been delivered and we were tired of grilling!
Our family of 6 has shared many memories as a family there, we bring our guests from out of town there, we have celebrated our “dating” anniversary, the closing of our house, when our kids made the local sports team, etc. all at the Bistro. The food has always been good, and consistent. The upside-down pineapple martini by Nicole is to DIE for!
Kim & Mark even allowed us to use their family champagne flutes to toast our “dating anniversary”. So, when we discussed food for our wedding, it was no doubt we wanted the Bistro to cater for our big day.
Kim was accommodating with the menu and helped to guide me through the right items for our wedding as we were serving buffet style, hiring the Bistro was the easiest part of planning my wedding.
Jen an employee (and now friend) that works at the Bistro, we also hired for our evening to serve beverages to our guests, the dance floor was LIT so I say she did her job!
However, something I will never forget about my wedding day is when I was pulling up to walk down the aisle, I saw Kim getting out of her car with sleeves of cups (I didn’t order), and at that moment as a bride, I remembered, I FORGOT TO GET ENOUGH CUPS! THANK YOU KIM!!
If you’re looking for a place to dine in for a night out, to celebrate life moments, or just to grab a beer. I couldn’t recommend a better place than the Bistro, so if you’re in town or live locally stop...
Read moreI visited here by myself on a Wednesday night and it took me a second to find the entrance. It’s inside of the plaza for those who visit for for the first time! I was waited on by Jeanette and I really appreciated her personality and how laid-back she was. It made me feel much more comfortable my first time there. I got one of their fall drinks which was the hot apple cider and it was absolutely delicious. I also got one of their fall menu items, which was a smoked brisket sub. I highly recommend getting this if you visit and if it is still on the menu! It was absolutely delicious and the brisket just fell apart in your mouth. I do wish it had slightly more coleslaw, but that is just a minor personal preference. I also got the Long Island, which was a little stronger than I’m used to however, I really enjoyed it. Again the service was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside the bistro. If I had the stomach of five people, I would’ve kept ordering food, but I was so full. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, the service was great, and enjoy the atmosphere that they created. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area! It’s a 10 out of 10,...
Read moreWe stopped for breakfast yesterday and despite wanting to like this spot, we were disappointed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and I appreciate that it is an independent and proudly displayed veteran owned business. After ordering, everything slowed way down. Two breakfast orders took 20+ minutes to come out, even with most of the restaurant empty. Our coffees/waters were never offered to be refilled. The waitress plopped down our plates and was off even before we could question that we received the Mediterrainian flatbread versus the Mediterranean benedict that was ordered. When she did come back and we asked about the mixup, she did offer to fix it, but given the length of time it took to get the initial plates out, we declined. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs over easy. It is nice to see real corned beef, but it was cardboard-dry and had little flavor. The eggs however were perfect. Overall, just an...
