Absolutely freaking amazing! No, I'm not affiliated. No I'm not from the island. Nor do I know anyone who works here or supplies here or anything else that would count as affiliated. This place is so much more than just one of the best meals I have ever had, it was a dining experience. The views. The sounds. The service. The staff. The presentation. The flavor profiles. The cooking. The menu. The facilities. All some of the best I have ever experienced. We are foodies. We try local venues everywhere we go, from local delis to fine dining. I'm truly shocked this venue isn't rated higher. I honestly think some people are just unpleaseable. There is no other reason.

We sampled the entire menu from shareables to dessert. We both got something different and tried each others. Everything was incredible. The menu is robust. The flavor profiles are perfectly paired. The service is impeccable and the staff is truly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. There isn't a seat in the house that doesn't have an ocean view.

Our meals were some of the best we have ever had. Easily in our top three. The veal reduction sauce was perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection with a perfect sear/rub. The lamb was not only presented beautifully and done in an incredible glaze, but cooked so well that we were shocked. The shareables and appetizers... honestly I could have just eaten those for dinner they were so dang good. The dessert was wildly delicious. The pie crust on my peanut butter mousse pie was perfect, not wet or soggy. The Pina colada upside down cake has the perfect bite of coconut to add a crisp, clean flavor and not too much glaze so that it would make the cake soggy. Really impressed

I could go on about the ambiance and views for hours. So romantic. So classy. The bathroom facilities are clean and spacious (his and hers private solo stalls). Parking is available across the street and out front of the building. Check sunset times and come a half hour earlier. We booked for when they open at 5 and had a beautiful show from mother nature to go with our dinner. Complimented by the waves of the ocean crashing on the piteresque rocks below. We had crab dip and drinks as the sun set behind a mountain and the tide came in feet for us. It was epic.

Compliments to the chef and our server who never left us wanting, made great suggestions, kept the banter up all night, and made running a room with at least 5 tops look easy. He had great timing. We did not feel rushed. Would absolutely come here again. Repeatedly. Prices are medium (not low, not high), especially considering the venue, service, and food quality. I would have expected to pay more.

PS. This place is seriously romantic. The ambiancce is incredible. Unparalleled. Anniversary, date night, special occasions, celebrating, visiting and want a nice night out,...

You would expect a fine dining restaurant by the seaside in the tropics would likely offer a picturesque setting with breathtaking views of the ocean, a view of a beautiful sunset, with great service and delicious food. The restaurant feature might include an open-air design that take advantage of the tropical breeze and natural light. The menu would likely feature fresh, locally-sourced seafood as well as a variety of tropical fruits and vegetables. The chefs at the restaurant would be experts in showcasing the rich flavors and natural beauty of the ingredients they use.  It would typically be impeccable, with attentive waitstaff that are knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. The wine list should include a variety of options from around the world, with a focus on those that pair well with seafood.

Overall, a fine dining restaurant by the seaside in the tropics should offer a unique dining experience that combines the natural beauty of the surroundings with the flavors of the tropics and the skill of an experienced chef, Chef Faheem.

Welcome to fine dining in St. Croix, in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  St. Croix, known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush tropical landscapes. These natural attributes make it a great destination for a fine dining experience.  One of those places would be Ama at Cane Bay.

Ama at Cane Bay offers a fine dining experience, featuring menus that highlight the local flavors and ingredients of St. Croix and the Caribbean.  Fresh seafood, such as Almond Crusted Mahi, with salpicon, asparagus, cilantro and line, or Caribbean Lobster Tail & Egg-Drop Amok, with garlic and ginger infused rice, chili, lime and herbs, or Grilled Bavette Steak with smashed red bliss potatoes, charred red onion salsa and broccoli chimichurri featured prominently on the menu, often prepared with tropical fruit, seasonings, and spices.  Ama of Cane Bay also features a diverse wine list, and drinks with a tropical or Caribbean twist to the cocktails.

Dining at Ama at Cane Bay offers an elegant atmosphere, with a spectacular view of the sea, and evening sunset. The service is very attentive and professional with wait staff that caters to your needs.

I cannot say enough good things about AMA. The service is so friendly and attentive and the food is to die for! Jahmani made me a refreshing mocktail that made me feel very tropical indeed even without the rum. For dinner each person in my party ordered a different meal (tuna, wahoo, chicken, ribeye, mahi cakes). Each came out looking beautiful, expertly prepared, so fresh and flavorful. I could tell a lot of love goes into preparing the food. I can’t get over how fresh and delicious the salad (local greens) was. I want to eat one every day! I’ve taken home different desserts two separate nights and savored every bite. The chocolate cake was so moist and was taken over the top with the raspberry sauce. The cheesecake was unlike any I’ve ever tasted with a luxuriously creamy texture. Brunch was excellent as well, from the NA bloody I had with just the right spice to the thin and not-too-sweet pancakes to the beautiful Hollandaise over perfectly runny eggs. The front-of-house staff has been incredible (shoutout to Conrad, Curt, Jill, Jahmani, and EJ), and the chefs even delivered our food and checked in with us throughout our meals (much love to Kevin, Rico, and Danny!). The setting for the restaurant may be the most beautiful in the world. The house music is tasteful and fun. Thanks for adding so much to my...

Wow, just an exceptional experience all around. We were lucky enough to snag a reservation during our trip last week, when Ama re-opened after a several month closure. We are incredibly glad that we made it. The views and overall environment have to be second-to-none for dining on the island. The pictures don't quite do it justice, but it's a decent start. If you can get an early-ish reservation so you can watch the sunset, do it. The food was prepared very well. Highly recommend the poke appetizer! The honey pie for dessert was exquisite. We don't usually order dessert but saw a couple reviews mentioning this one... simply delicious. Don't forget the drinks! I had a couple Old Cubans (apologies if I'm misremembering the exact name) - great mix of flavors and highly recommended. My girlfriend had another of the mixed drinks and loved hers as well. The staff made this a fantastic experience too. Everyone from the bartender, waitress, and [I think] chef who came out were gracious, friendly, helpful hosts. There was another waiter who we also saw was doing a fantastic job, as he was dealing a table of, shall we say, less than cooperative older ladies. Every single person here acted as quite the professional! We won't forget eating at Ama. Make it here if you can!

The views, the service, and (mostly) the food sold me on this place. However they fell short of that 5th star with my filet entree. No matter where you get seated you’re going to have a fantastic view of the waves crashing up against the shore. Add one star The hostess and our server took excellent care of us and made sure everything was one point. Add another star. The crab dip was by far the best I ever had. The bread wasn’t too thin or thick or super crunch so it paired well. Add another star. The ceasar salad and that dressing it came with. I couldn’t pin point all that went into it but I would go back just for that. Add another star. The entree however. Lost a star. Presentation was very nice however I asked for med rare and it came out, in my eyes, close to medium. Which is all fine but not what I ordered. The scooped potatoes were just plain cold not an ounce of warmness. I did ask for hot ones and she replaced them quickly. I understand it happens. And another note: when I made the reservation back in December they asked if we were celebrating anything. It happened to be my birthday. No one acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating that day. 🫠
