I asked for the “dessert of the day” said it’s chocolate cake. They said but it had to cool. I said I’m fine with it waiting. Then this guy comes out from the kitchen with two giant pieces of cake after it had cooled. I assumed it was the owner. Which I thought hey you’re entitled I suppose. Then the waiter sees the owner come out with two pieces and he goes to get ours. He brings out ours and it was literally the size of a folded in half dollar bill. I should’ve taken a picture but I was so confused I didn’t even think about till afterwards. I asked the waiter is that the owner as i pointed to him at the bar, he said it is. I said he came out with two large pieces and you bring the paying customer this tiny piece? He said yeah he helped himself. But yeah that’s the size. I said for $7? He said yes sorry. Then out comes a cook or the cook with a big piece of cake eating it while walking around. In my opinion that shows how much they care or are taught to care about their paying customers. I know you don’t have many choices in the area. So he pretty much has control of the market and doesn't have much to worry about. But that’s in my opinion the wrong impression to a paying customer, control of the...
Read moreBy the water, great people, "local" favorite , and atmosphere. But it just has sandwiches and pizza...for being on a island the ONLY "seafood" was a tuna salad (which I'm sure is starkist can). It took almost 10 min just to be greeted, another 10-15 min just to get our water and can of beer, then another 45-55 min for our cheese pizza. Pizza dough seemed from scratch but sauce and cheese was "ok" (kind of a pizza snob so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone). They had bingo night that night it was funny and everyone was great. To be fair as far as service goes a lot of restaurants on the island could use server training/management. When a table hasn't been greeted or received anything for almost 30min after sitting...you don't go chat with another customer who is done eating and...
Read moreDo not go here! Believe all the bad previous reviews. We are in the restaurant business and understand being busy or tired. However, there is no excuse to being unfriendly and rude. We were very patient. These people and I mean all of them ( bartender, waitress and owner) clearly do not like tourists. They barely looked at us or acknowledged us when we walked in and throughout. We only stayed because we were hungry and did not know what restaurants were around the corner. They food was mediocre at best. The only reason we gave it 1 star was because of the view. Keep driving and do not give these people money. They do not reflect to true laid backed friendly vibe...
