Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Saint George

Dishonest and rude. I called to place an order close to 10pm and the lady told me they would fill my order and I had to be there before 10 pm to pick it up. So my poor tired husband drives quickly and gets there before 10. The employees ignore him at the front door. They ignore him through the drive thru and then later make excuses for why they refuse to make our food. The truth is that they were too lazy to make an order near closing time. It's beyond rude to lie to someone about making an order and pretend you don't see them there to pick up the order before closing time. What a waste of my tired husband's time and strength. You should be ashamed of yourselves for this behavior. I'd recommend other hungry and tired people avoid wasting their time here. We called another restaurant and we were treated kindly. I will spend $60 on dinner somewhere...

Stopped by this evening for the following experience when ordering:

Employee greets me

I order

I ask “just to be sure, does the Sunrise Sunset have banana?”

Employee “THE INGREDIENTS ARE LISTED ON THE BOARD UNDER THE ITEM”

Me “I understand that, however, I’m having difficulty locating the item on the board and am asking if it has banana so I don’t hold up the line searching the menu”

Employee “No. No banana”

WHY WORK SOMEWHERE THAT CLEARLY PAINS YOU TO HELP A CUSTOMER WITH A SIMPLE QUESTION???? I don’t need to be spoken to like I’m illiterate, just because I asked a simple yes, or no, question.

The smoothie bowls are tiny and they are very expensive for what you get. My daughter got an acai bowl and it was completely frozen and then they put fruit on it.. which means it was pre-made, cost is $10.20. She couldn't even eat it for 20 minutes because it was so frozen. I got the green dream and it had maybe a cup of the actual smoothie in it and it didn't taste great, it had great texture and was smooth but the kale is too overpowering, that one was $8.30. We also got a plain cheese quesadilla that was $6. It was good and had a 2oz good salsa that came with it. My other daughter got a regular smoothie and she said it tasted really good.
