Someone else mentioned that this was a great spot to let their kids run in between a terribly long drive between salt lake City and Las Vegas. My two-year-old is good in a car. But after 4 to 5 hours and napping anything is sure to get her ready to be out of the car. We stopped at the Costco to get gas and then we let her run for 45 minutes before hopping on the last 2 hours of I-15 South to Vegas. If you have kids. This is a really nice park. Pretty spacious. Everything seems to be in good condition. There are bathrooms there with water fountains. I didn't use the bathrooms but they seemed clean from the outside. The water fountain tasted normal and not weird. The water feature was down for maintenance. But also since it's the beginning of the summer season, that's not a surprise. 10 out of 10 recommend stopping here. If you have young kids who need to run energy out in between a long drive. There's plenty of food options nearby as well. Might be great for a lunch midday stop or a quick dinner break on...
Read moreWe went to the park to fly our kite, it was an extremely windy day. There were a lot of people there but enough room for those who wanted to keep their 6 ft distance from one another. There were a lot of people who didn't care about distancing or wearing masks. So this encouraged me to be much more vigilant and keeping the heck away from them because if they are this way at a public park, disregarding their safety, they are this way everywhere so they are also disregarding my safety so I don't want to be anywhere near them at all. Anyway.. The park is great for kids, teenagers and adults alike. There is a big hill that connects a housing development that the teenager were having a blast going up and down. On the wide open field there was a father throwing a baseball around with his son and a large group of kids playing a game against each other. And there was still room enough for us to fly our kite and be no where...
Read moreIt’s very disappointing that the parks department would take down the basketball standard the way they did. Instead of letting people use it in socially responsible way. It feels like “we (St. George City) know what’s best for you and we don’t trust you so we will make sure you don’t use it at all, even if there are dozens of games that can be played in a socially responsible way. We know best, so you can’t use it at all, even if you paid for it and we are supposed to work for you!” It’s upsetting, so please put it back so it...
