Love City Cafe — Restaurant in Saint John

Things to note: -Breakfast only served until 10:30 -Smoothies are made with coconut water (TREE NUT Allergen), really appreciated she told us before making it! -They close at 12:30

Unfortunately, I was unable to order breakfast. I arrived a bit after 11 and was told 'since they close at 12:30, breakfast stops at 10:30.' They were also out of prosecco for mimosas.

So I ordered a mixed berry smoothie, but received something like a tropical mango with pineapple (after mentioning I do not like pineapple - only because she asked me...) It was still good, but not what I ordered.

I felt that she was annoyed with me from the start. So I'm not sure if the mistake was intentional or if they were fresh out of mixed berries (as the lady in front of me just received 2 mixed berry smoothies) and she didn't want to tell me they were out of another thing.

I will say their prices are very reasonable compared to most of St. John, especially on...

We happened to drive by on a day they are typically closed and they were open to try to combat the power outages. Even with these unprecedented circumstances, they offered a limited menu and an extremely warm welcome 🩷

We got the sausage, egg and cheese bagel and a very delicious specialty iced latte.

Ms. Brenda is the owner of this little coffee joint in Coral Bay. She is super personable and obviously a local treasure. So glad my son and I stopped in for a coffee while staying on that side of the Island.

Don’t plan to hang out as the shop seats 2, but if you are grabbing and going this is really perfect spot to get a quick bite on your way to the beach in the morning.

My son also had a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich and said it was a delicious…especially the bacon.
