Normally I'm not one to post "complaints," but I had a couple on this visit. Let me start by saying it was my family's first time here. Pulling up the novelty of the signage and building is fun and lures you in. The parking lot is small, and even though there was a line, there were several open parking spots.
The soft serve was your average soft serve--vanilla, chocolate or twist. But here's my first complaint. Do they have other flavors? One item on the Specials menu says it's served with an ice cream called Blue Goo. What is that? And what about all the other flavors shown on the short "Now Serving" sign? Blue Goo was on there. But when I ordered, I was told my ice cream choices were the aforementioned vanilla, chocolate or a twist of the two. I guess I could have asked, but it was hot out, with a blazing sun, and having waited in line a while with a line now behind me, I felt I didn't have the opportunity to explore the menu with the nice young man who took my order.
The other major complaint was trash. We sat beside the building in the shaded area, which was nice. But when we were finished, the trash can was overflowing with garbage, and there was nowhere else to throw stuff away outside. I walked around the building only to peak inside and find the one other trash can there, an open bin that was itself already 3/4ths full.
My kids loved their cherry dipped vanilla cones (NB: small size is a good portion), so we were happy, and I call the trip a success. But with the grown-ups orders being just okay, and the couple of nit-picks, I was hoping...
Read moreI love coming here with my kids. It's mainly the tourists that seem to lack common sense as to where to stand. They stand right in the parking spaces making it difficult for anyone else to pull up and park. There is literally a concrete paved area right at the ordering window where they could easily line up and stand. I had to even raise my voice to say excuse me just to get to my car door because some were almost leaning on my car. It's ridiculous. Tourists are both a blessing and a curse whether it's the snowbirds or tourists in general. I can't get away from them no matter where I live lol. Not all tourists are bad as there are many who have common sense and sensibility. If you just take the time to look around for signs and see whether there is a no parking sign or not, then you can neurologically gather enough information that would simply compel your thought process to say "hey these are parking spaces, perhaps I should not stand here because these are for cars, not people and there are no signs saying cars shouldn't park here. Oh look! A little sidewalk standing area with a big menu...

Dairy Korner is a must-have, especially in the summer. This ice cream spot sits in Saint Joseph, MI. Stopped for a treat, and I enjoyed every bit of it. It was great to hear the laughter of children, teens working, and adults getting out with their children.
The food was good, the ice cream was amazing, and I appreciated the sale of cold drinks while waiting for food.
The service and atmosphere were amazing, as it was catered for the summer.
Parking is a little tight, as there is a parking lot in the back area. All in all, it's a very great spot...
